Edward LeSaint (13 d'avientu de 1870, Cincinnati – 10 de setiembre de 1940, Hollywood) foi un actor y direutor cinematográficu d'Estaos Xuníos, con una carrera artística que se desenvolvió en bona parte mientres los años del cine mudu.

Biografía

Nacíu en Cincinnati, Ohio, LeSaint empecipióse como actor, siendo inda un neñu, nel ambiente teatral de Filadelfia.

El so debú nel cine como actor llegó en 1911 con From the Bottom of the Sea, un curtiu d'Independent Moving Pictures interpretáu por Mary Pickford. Foi la primera de les 315 cintes nes que participó como actor. La so última película foi A Night at Earl Carroll's (1940), producida por Paramount, y na mesma fixo un pequeñu papel xunto a la so muyer, Stella LeSaint.

Amás d'actuar, LeSaint rodó 123 filmes como direutor. En 1912 dirixó la so primer película, Where Paths Meet. Tres seis producciones con Independent Moving Pictures, pasó a Selig Polyscope Company, productora na que conoció a Stella Razetto, una actriz de teatru y vodevil qu'interpretó con él los sos primeros papeles cinematográficos. Dambos casaron el 25 d'avientu de 1913, pasando xuntos el restu de la so vida. Stella tomó l'apellíu del so home, siendo conocida artísticamente como Stella LeSaint.

Amás d'actor y direutor, LeSaint trabayó nel guión de diez películes

Edward LeSaint finó en 1940 en Los Angeles, California. Foi soterráu nel Campusantu Hollywood Forever, en Los Angeles.
