Title:Vanishing Thermal Mass in the Strongly Coupled QGP
View PDFAbstract:In this paper we perform a non-perturbative analysis of thermal quasi-fermion by studying its self-energy function through the Dyson-Schwinger equation (DSE) with the HTL re-summed improved ladder kernel. Our analysis reveals several interesting results, some of which may force us to change the image of thermal quasi-fermion; 1) Thermal mass of quasi-fermion disappears in the strongly coupled QGP (sQGP), showing a property of massless quasi-particle, however, 2) the imaginary part of the chiral invariant mass function (i.e., the decay width of quasi-fermion) persists to have $O(g^2 T \log (1/g))$ behavior. In the present paper, we report the results of the analysis by focusing on the behavior of chiral invariant thermal mass and its imaginary part in the sQGP. It is also briefly commented on an evidence of the existence of a massless, or an ultra-soft mode.
