I purchased this product due to moderate - severe back pain (left over remnants from the Marines). The current mattress I have is still good, but with my back getting progressively worse each year, I needed some sort of relief as it was taking me more and more time each morning to wind up a bit before I was fully mobile. I've slept on memory foam mattresses before as well as toppers. They were okay, but nothing that made me want to go out and purchase a similar product. Another colleague (former Marine as well) stated that his back pain (in the morning) has almost disappeared since he bought the TEMPUR-Topper Supreme. I did a quick search after speaking with him and found a too-good-to-pass-up price via Amazon (other sites to include TEMPUR-PEDIC had this going for $399.00 - queen size) so I bit the bullet and purchased it with the option of being able to return it if it didn't measure up.

So, it came secured in 3 separate boxes. The original, another around that one, and then an Amazon shipping box. No damage or issues with delivery. It arrived 2 days after ordering it (Prime).

Opening and unwrapping went well with no issues and the mattress topper was without any discrepancies (tears, stains, etc.).

No odor whatsoever. I have been around new memory foam before, and this topper had no strong smell at all. I still gave it time to expand and air out (it comes wrapped / rolled up). After a few hours, I put it on the bed. My current mattress is a bit thicker than normal (plush hybrid) so I use deep pocket sheets. I wasn't sure if the additional 3 inches of memory foam would be an issue with size and fit of the sheets. While it is a bit tight, everything still fit and the sheets stayed down / didn't roll up at night.

I gave this product 4 stars out of 5 because this topper still sleeps a bit hot (if I could give it 4.5 I would). Not piping hot, or where you're drenched in sweat hot, but a bit warm. That is a better description. Not hot, but warm. I normally run hot anyway, so this was a concern for me, but the pain in my back takes precedence over that so I gave it a shot. I'm very glad I did. I wouldn't say this took ALL the pain in my back away, but getting up in the morning is about 85% easier and with less issues / pain than before. So that to me is a major plus and solidifies this as a good buy. If they had a product like this that kept cool or did not generate any heat at all, I would give it 5 stars no problem.

I would recommend this product to others who are looking to relieve whatever pain (neck, back, hip, etc.) they may have while sleeping or those just looking to refresh their current mattress with a updated fit / feel.

*** UPDATE 1/22/2019 ***

So, I've slept on this topper the past year and can honestly say that this has helped lessen the pain and discomfort I experienced every single morning prior to making this purchase. I have also changed my rating of 4 stars to 5 as the topper does not sleep as warm as it initially did in the beginning. I'm not sure if that is from my body getting used to the topper and regulating my internal temperature, the topper airing out after a few weeks of use and better circulation getting through the material, or a little bit of both. Either way, I actually look forward to going to bed each night and enjoying a comfortable nights rest. I would continue to recommend this product with the same endorsement I provided above.

I was a little concerned about the reviews that said the sleeps hot because I tend to sleep hot. However, my experience is I sleep amazing on this 3 in Tempur-pedic pad! I’ve used it in my RV, which is the only way I can sleep in there not hot. I have a natural latex mattress which is medium to firm, which I just can’t tolerate without some kind of extra cushion and this works perfectly and not hot…. Used (or attempted to use) this pad on our purple mattress, which is in our guest bedroom and in there I think it must be the combination of the materials. It slept super hot and I had to pull it off the bed in order to fall asleep! Since I normally sleep hot, I have cooling mattress protectors in the RV and on my latex mattress, but not on the purple mattress maybe That is the difference-?? As for offgassing, I Washed the cooling cover that came with the Tempur-pedic and let the mattress layout in the guest room for three or four days before I used it in the RV no chemical smells after that and I’m sensitive. I highly recommend this mattress pad and I would buy another one if needed, but I’m hoping to get 10 years out of it!

This is a really nice mattress topper; I just got it, so I can't speak to the long-term quality of it, but it seems nice. The cooling part of the cover is really nice, too.
However, getting the cover off of the mattress is a bit tricky, but getting the cover back on is like putting a pair of shorts that are too tight on an enraged gorilla. As the cover only unzips 1/2 way, you have to slide a sticky (memory foam is sticky) blob back into a 1/2 open pouch that is also a bit sticky. Plus, the mattress is slightly smaller than the cover, which makes it even more of a challenge. I live alone, so maybe if I had a second set of hands, it would be easier, but I don't have any friends, so it's just me against trying to put King Kong into a extra small jock strap. I would say wash the cover once so you can have as much fun as I did, and then maybe we can start a support group, so I'll have some friends.

En mi caso, sufrí una caída y las dos últimas vértebras se comprimieron. Eso causa que al cargar peso o me mueva sin realizar ejercicios de terapia cause dolor. El topper se ajustó exactamente a la medida de mi cama y noté que es en realidad pesado pero manejable. Una vez sobre el colchón lo dejé reposar por una hora y procedí a acostarme. La sensación es de firmeza pero cede en poco tiempo de acostado. Siento que trabaja correctamente ya que en ningún momento tengo que cambiar de posición por dolor o inconformidad. Las dos noches que he pasado en el he dormido muy a gusto. No me levanto en la noche y en la mañana hay cero dolor alguno. En el día puedo notar que si me siento en sillas o mecedoras por una hora el dolor regresa levemente pero si estoy acostado en el topper desaparece. Tumper garantiza el topper por 10 años aunque la página de amazon dice por 25. Es una excelente compra y ahora voy por el travel set en caso de que tenga que viajar ya que mover mi topper no lo veo conveniente por el peso.
