The only thing I notice as a cut back cost quality is that the actual sides around the mattress are not padded inside between the springs & outer covering. I can feel them during set up. It is only noticeable if you roll your hand along the actual side. The corners are padded. This is a more firm mattress with the hybrid plush top. One sided. It is a great value for quality, price & sleep. Need a new mattress with semi firm support? This is fantastic. I have multiple degenerative & immune disease spinal issues. Amazed that queen size mattress with my husband sleeping by my side there is not a disruptive noticeable amount of 2nd person movement throughout the mattress. It is pretty heavy box when it arrives. You might need additional help maneuvering the box. Sturdy heavy box. Not a dent or tear on outer box. Un box. Set on foundation /frame. Unroll SLOWLY the cling wrap 1st layer. If you pull it slowly as it comes off it's very simple. The heavy gauge vacuum plastic may begin to expand before you cut bag. I made sure the roll of mattress was on middle of box spring so it unfolded without issue, cut small line opening on bottom end of mattress bag. It begins to expand. Then just get craft scissors and cut AWAY heavy plastic from mattress down plastic bag around 3 sides. I was able to pull the plastic off the mattress in about 3 easy pulls. Let it sit at least 24 hrs because it will become 12" and fully fill out nicely. Sleeping on slightly higher mattress, make sure you check your corner fitted sheet . At 12" you want a good amount of coverage around & under mattress. I recommend 16-17" fitted corner max so it doesn't slip off. We also put a mattress pad on our mattress then the fitted sheet. I can say I was pleased to sleep well all night. Back & side. And I have severe level spine issues. My husband has hip arthritis as we are getting older and he also sleeps well. 4 nights and neither of us has woke the other haven't woke in discomfort or hot. Remember this is more firm-ish than medium. I am extremely satisfied with this Ashley product. There is NO fireproof chemical treatment on this mattress. That is a plus for allergy sufferers & skin sensitivities. Great mattress. I finally look forward to "going to bed" again.

This awesome mattress plumped up right upon opening. The plastic smell dissipated not long after. Within a few hours. I put it on a metal box spring/frame. I am a single woman who recently lost 200 pounds and my old mattress was wrecked, I needed a new one but didn't have a 1000 bucks for a new one. I'd been a loyal Spring Air Customer. So I did my homework and looked at mattresses in my local stores. The mattress you are looking at was the one I chose. For a Full Size it was 599 dollars plus tax from the store. I really didn't have it. I was going to finance it through the store. But, I kept thinking maybe I should check on Amazon first. I thought I might be able to save a few dollars. When I was able to get the very same mattress (no tax) delivered to my home for 190 dollars on the nose, well I clicked and bought it right away. I was scared of a bait and switch or maybe a counterfeit product I will admit. I could not have been more wrong, the mattress was the real thing and delivered to my home in two days. I will also sat it was heavy but I was able to wrestle it in the house and followed the instructions to open it. I was almost send through the wall when it "popped". Be careful, they tell you there is 2 layers of plastic to cut through and there is not. When you cut its going to pop out and start unfurling. So be ready for the expansion. The mattress came to full size almost immediately although I let it alone on the box springs all day and let it rise before putting linens on it. I let a fan blow on it all day but there really was not an odor. I've slept on it every night since 8-9-18 and couldn't be happier. No pain (and I have back troubles and fibromyalgia) and it looks wonderful. I have it on my box springs that are Spring Air and were in fine condition. Its firm but not so much it is painful or anything. I like it so far. I will occasionally come back if my opinion changes. I will be happy if this lasts a few years or longer. I have had this 2 years now and can't tell it has ever been used, a real value. Still a great matress after all this time 3/17/21; Still doing great 4 years later, my granddaughter sleeps over with me and says it's so comfy. Her dad bought the same mattress and loves it. Five years later 7/28/23 still going strong, might get another in the near future in case they would quit carrying them. They have jumped 100 dollars on the price point. I know inflation, so I guess you still can't beat the price. Okay it's now been about 6-7 years and I am ready for a new mattress and I will be buying another one of these mattresses, I am still using my old box springs but the mattress is wearing out now. Yes, I believe sometime this summer or fall I will buy another mattress. This one is still fine and I slept on much worse especially as a child. I had spinal surgery this winter and this mattress was great (no the surgery had nothing to do with the mattress). I was grateful to come home to old faithful and off the plastic wafer called a mattress at the hospital.

This mattress is very comfortable and at a much better price than any others I have looked at. Hard to believe you can get a really good mattress in a box but this is it. It is made well and for the past few months we have had it I have had no problems with this purchase. I think it as good as any mattress that costs 2 to 3 times as much.

Thank goodness I decided to switch my mattress for a better one(Ashley 12 inch Chime). My sibling has this mattress and I was given positive feedback. I got the firm because that’s what I prefer to sleep on. I experience zero back pain and it’s very comfortable to sleep on. Despite my mattress not reaching 12inches after 5 days of giving it extra time to fully expand, I would still recommend this mattress to anybody seeking a peaceful night’s sleep. Most certainly worth the money.

I had back issues sleeping on another mattress from a different brand here on Amazon. Not only were the seams coming apart, but the bed was very uncomfortable to sleep on.
