About Tech Reunions

MIT Tech Reunions is a multiday event, presented by the Alumni Association, celebrating class milestones and the MIT experience. The schedule includes exclusive MIT traditions on campus, with select events available online. 

MIT Tech Reunions will take place in person from May 30–June 1, 2025. Activities for the 50th and 25th reunions will begin on Thursday, May 29, and conclude on Sunday, June 1. 

The Institute promotes the principle that every person brings unique qualities and talents to the community and that every individual should be treated in a respectful manner. All members of the MIT community are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism, personal integrity, and respect for the rights, differences, and dignity of others. These standards of personal conduct apply to all communications, whether oral, written, or in gestures. Community members are also expected to treat the property of the Institute and other community members with appropriate care and respect.

Registering for Tech Reunions

Online registration for Tech Reunions is now closed.  
MIT alumni can register in person for events that still have capacity available at Bldg. W20 (Stratton Student Center) location. (MIT cannot guarantee accommodations for dietary restrictions.)

Yes, when registration launches, an Infinite Connection (IC) account login is required to register for Tech Reunions.

Undergraduate and graduate alumni from the 50th reunion class of 1975 are invited to march in the Commencement procession. To participate, 50th reunion alumni can register for the Commencement exercises event on their reunion's registration form. Each 50th reunion alumnus/a may invite one guest, who can view the alumni procession from a VIP tent on Memorial Drive and watch the exercises on television in nearby air-conditioned Killian Hall.  

The 25th reunion class of 2000 are invited to attend Commencement but do not march. Twenty-fifth reunion alumni can register to attend Commencement on their reunion registration form. 

All other alumni and guests can watch a live video broadcast of the ceremony in viewing centers across campus. Visit the Commencement website for more details.  

Yes. In order to change your class year affiliation, please send an email requesting this change to [email protected]. Once updated, you will only receive information for the new class year.

You can use the Online Alumni Directory. While you’re logged in, you can check and update your own personal information as well.

Yes! Tech Reunions is open to all MIT alumni. Graduate alumni can enjoy events such as Tech Night at the Pops, Technology Day, Toast to Tech, and more. Graduate alumni celebrating their 50th reunion are also invited to order a red jacket and march in Commencement. Please note that some class events are exclusively for undergraduate alumni. Yes! Many family-friendly events will be available, including the Family Maker Fair and Tech Challenge Games. If attending events without your children, please arrange necessary childcare. 

Hotels & Accommodations

Discount hotel blocks are now sold out. Visit the Hotels & Accommodations page for more information. MIT also has several preferred hotels in the campus area.   

For questions on existing reservations and booking assistance please contact the hotel directly.  

Special accommodations are available. Please contact the Tech Reunions staff for more information. Attendees can also specify their requirements during the registration process. 

A limited number of dorm rooms will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Make sure to register early. For more details, visit the accommodations page 

Attending Tech Reunions

As we are on an urban campus, parking is limited due to congestion and construction. We encourage alternative transportation, such as public transit or ride sharing. If driving is necessary, a limited number of parking passes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis during registration.  

Yes. Shuttles will run between key locations, including hotels, dorms, and parking lots. Attendees can also use the MIT Tech Shuttle, which operates Monday–Friday, 6:15 a.m.–7:10 p.m. An additional Tech Reunions shuttle will operate late night on Friday and all day on Saturday. 

The dress code will vary for each event. Check your class schedule and/or the Tech Reunions schedule for details. 

Red Jacket ordering has closed. We do have a small set of jackets for borrow, if interested email [email protected].

The dress code for the Pops is business casual or better. Those celebrating their 50th reunion and members of the Cardinal and Gray Society are encouraged to wear their red jackets. Symphony Hall does not allow children under the age of five to attend performances, and tickets are required for all patrons regardless of age.  

Tickets for Tech Night at Pops will be distributed by email. You will receive an email the week leading up to Tech Reunions with your ticket enclosed. You can print it at home or have it available on your phone for entry.

Yes! Visitors to campus should connect on the MIT GUEST Wireless Network

Wireless connections for guests and visitors of MIT.

  • Visitors connecting this network will be required to provide an e-mail address or mobile phone number to access the network.
  • Guest users without access to SMS/text messaging or email (e.g., international travelers without data roaming) can use the “Request Access from Sponsor” option and enter their sponsor's MIT email address. Please visit the technology help desk upon arrival at Check-in and Registration for assistance.

This network is not encrypted, has limited access to the Internet, and is not intended for access to MIT internal resources. Learn more about the MIT GUEST wireless network.

What you need to know:

  • Available for guests and visitors of MIT
  • Use for devices that do not support WPA2 encryption (See the list.)
  • Use for operating systems that do not have WPA supplicants
  • Use for older 802.11b hardware
  • Not intended for long-term use
  • Limited access to the Internet.


The MIT GUEST network is separated from the rest of the MIT network with a firewall and network address translation (NAT). This limits the services that will work over this wireless network. For instance, printing to printers over TCP port 631 (CUPS) will not work.

Police, fire, and medical emergencies should be directed to the MIT Campus Police. Dial 100 on any campus phone for any on-campus emergency.

MIT Medical is located at 25 Carleton St., Bldg. E23, between Amherst St. and Main St., and is open to alumni and families who require medical attention during Tech Reunions. Medical personnel are available daily, 7:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m., and medical staff are available by phone, 24 hours a day, at 617-253-4481. For on-campus emergencies, dial 100 on any campus phone. Please be aware that you will be billed for any medical services rendered.

The MIT Coop has locations in the Stratton Student Center and in Kendall Square. 

Lost and found during Tech Reunions will be held at the Registration and Check-In area during registration hours. After registration closes, all items will be given to MIT Police. 

Class Reunion Giving

The easiest way to make a gift is with a credit card online at giving.mit.edu.  You can also learn more about other methods, including gifts by check, wire transfer, stock, mutual fund transfers, and donor-advised funds. 

Gifts made in the four fiscal years leading up to the reunion year, excluding pledge payments previously counted in a reunion total

Gifts made in the 12-month period from July 1 through June 30 of the reunion year; and once a gift is made:

  • Multi-year pledges for which payments are due between July 1 and June 30 of the reunion year and final payment is due no later than June 30 of the fiscal year prior to the next reunion;
  • Recurring gifts prescheduled through June 30 of the fiscal year prior to the next reunion; and
  • Matching gifts received in the reunion year.

Class Participation will include donors who have made a gift in the 12-month period from July 1 through June 30 of the reunion year.  Gifts to all funds at MIT count towards Class Reunion Gift dollars and participation.
