I want to turn off or hide the draft with copilot dingbat that follows my cursor around in MS Word.
I have seen a few articles on this website, and I know it's not possible but I'm going to ask anyway. For reference this is what I'm referring to: It's more I find the little thing following me around on my screen to be annoying and distracting, I've managed to hide or disable anything related to copilot on my system except this little dingbat. When a new document is open you get a little message that says "Select the icon or press Alt + i to draft with copilot" It would be nice if I could hide that as well, yes copilot is a *feature*, and I don't care about it. I also want to hide the paste with copilot and just used the local paste options that were built into previous versions of word. I suspect that there is a copilot dingbat that is stored somewhere on my system, possibly in a font, and as I have already made a few detrimental modifications to my operating system registry, I'm not wary of messing up my computer any more than it could be. The only saving grace I have at the moment is there is an issue with my account, so any accidental triggering of the feature causes it to crap out. (So long as I don't accidentally press the 'fix account" button) I know that if it was easy to turn off there would be a button for it, I know Microsoft probably wants us to use this feature because it means more data for them to collect, an I'm disappointed in the loss of user agency that's resulted from this rollout, and there's a spike in animosity towards AI in general.
Error while trying to use Copilot in Excel
I get the following error constantly: "As a Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscriber, you'll be able to use Copilot when you're signed with your Microsoft work or school account (Entra ID) and Microsoft personal account. However, that ability is not yet available." What to do?
Missing features in Copilot, only in Outlook
I seem to be missing some features for Copilot, but only on Outlook. This persists though multiple platforms and devices, Web, Windows, and Mac. It also occurs for another member of my organization. I am missing functionality like Themes for Copilot, and Prioritize my Inbox. I have a copilot button on the top ribbon, which opens the chat and the side which opens BizChat. I have made sure every app is up to date, although web should be working at the least according to the support sections. I have also tried multiple update branches: Current Channel, Current Channel (Preview), and Beta. Any ideas on the issue here and how to fix it? I really would like to get the full functionality of Copilot. Thanks.
Hide copilot icon in Word 365
I would like to hide/disable the copilot icon that automatically appears on Word 365 pages as I write. I *do not* want to disable copilot. Just the icon - it is intrusive and irritating. How do I use my action in M365 Copilot?
I created a flow action in Copilot for Microsoft 365. Where should this action be available? I don't see any evidence of it in Teams/Copilot. The documentation (Copilot connectors and actions overview (preview) - Microsoft Copilot Studio | Microsoft Learn) does not specify what the experience should be like, so I don't know where to even look for it, now that I've tested the action and it's showing up as "Ready" in Copilot Studio.
Capabilities of Copilot in Web Browser vs. in Excel
Hello, I have noticed differences of Copilot capabilities of M365 Copilot in web browser vs. in Excel itself. For example, I want to count the number of lines in Excel file based on some parameters. When I put the prompt "Count the number of rows that have 'VTT' in column 'Product'." into Excel Copilot, it counts the correct number of rows. When I put the same prompt, just starting with "In file /Sample_data.xlsx" into M365 Copilot in Teams or in the web browser, it returns incorrect count every time. The same happens when I upload the file directly to the Copilot window and not link it to Onedrive. Mostly less (correct is 202 and Copilot returns 64 or so). I suspect it cannot access the entire document. I have tried many similar simple tests with other prompts and it is often the same result - in Excel good, elsewhere bad. Why does this happen? Is it because the file is indexed only partially in some sort of index and web Copilot draws from that and cannot see the data itself? How can I allow the Teams/web Copilot to access the data so the results are correct? I don't want to open Excel everytime to use the data inside. Thank you very much!! I have a corporate account and just recently started getting the 1mb limit message. I don't have a separate Copilot license. We get our license through our licensing with Microsoft. It used to accept files bigger than 1mb. Can someone @microsoft please let us know if this is intended behavior, dependent on the organization, licensing?? Anything??? Microsoft - throw everyone here a bone and let us know what happened.CoPilot for M365 only available as a yearly?
How does a company as successful and forward thinking as Microsoft consistently get it wrong. The uptake of CoPilot among our customer base of 100 clients can be counted on half a hand. We have a customer that would like to trial 5 x users but there is no trial available and the only option is to subscribe to a twelve month commitment for each user. Every other M365 product we use has a monthly option. Why would you do that?
SharePoint doc library metadata columns
I'm adding a SharePoint site pages library as a knowledge source. The library has several metadata columns. There's a lot of "knowledge" stored in those columns I need Copilot to consider but it seems to ignore them completely. Is there a way to get Copilot to use the columns for information?
