ah thanks for the explanation, i understand how they work now.

(1 edit)

i have a couple questions about for loops that i’m not quite sure is correct, this is using c# as well.

for (int i =1; i<100; i+1){

Console.Write(i);

}

i is declared as 1, so does it check if the declared variable is less than 100 and if that’s true it will then add 1 until it gets to 100?

oh wow, i will definitely check it out, are there tutorials and stuff for setting it up?

what language does unreal use?

oh wow, i didn’t even know this existed, thank you for the link, this will definitely be a lot of help.

thank you for all the help

do you think i should learn the basics of c# then switch to unity as a game engine?

i did, but j don’t really understand the steps.

Does anyone know how to setup Raylib for C# and visual studio? I am trying to figure out how to make a 3d game engine from scratch.

yeah who knows what could happen if they code themselves

thank you for all this information, i am currently learning how to use C#, i have used unity in the past but want to try to build a game from the ground up.

if trying to program a 3d game could you get access to any 3d frameworks to help?

thank you, i will look into monogame and do further research.

i want to begin learning the basics of programming a game with c# but from scratch. Where would you recommend starting? maybe videos or websites to help?

i just want to take a second and ask you guys what possibilities AI’s could have on game development now or in the future

hello everyone,

when taking the beginning steps of programming a game from scratch, what kind of code would you usually start off with? i am trying to learn to make a 2d game from scratch but confused where to start learning? any ideas?

Oh, i understand now, i really like that way of developing, it also fits my passion of game development as a programmer, thank you guys

what do you mean by that? that’s very interesting actually.

I plan to learn C# from the ground up, learning to make my own 2D game engine from scratch as my end goal this year.

I have recently got back into my passion of programming after a couple terrible years, i want to ask everyone if learning to program your own game engine would be more beneficial for learning and future jobs?

William here,

i am a new game developer looking to improve my skills in C#

Good Afternoon everyone,

After just graduating high school more lost than a seagull that has no fish, i recently found my passion to learn programming and eventually game development. I want to be able to creat prototypes and share them with everyone for feedback and learning potential. I hope the next coming years will be the best of my life.
