We are proud to open the Majid Al Futtaim Mosque at Tilal Al Ghaf, named in honour of our late founder, Mr. Majid Al Futtaim, as a tribute to his enduring legacy. This first of its kind, net-positive mosque in the Middle East was inaugurated in the presence of His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of the DUBAI FUTURE FOUNDATION, His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, General Manager of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, as well as Mr. Tariq Al Futtaim and Ms. Mariam Majid Al Futtaim, representing our esteemed shareholders. Designed as a cornerstone of the Tilal Al Ghaf community, the mosque integrates sustainable and modern practices that support the UAE’s Green Agenda 2030, prioritising energy efficiency, resource optimisation, and minimal environmental impact. The Majid Al Futtaim Mosque reinforces our commitment to building a cleaner tomorrow as we aim to achieve net-positive in carbon and water across our business by 2040.

Rethinking Resources involves redefining our approach to managing water, energy, land, and waste. Aligning to our 2028 Business Commitments, we aim to re-evaluate all the resources we consume and the output we produce, to create a positive impact on society and the planet.

Majid Al Futtaim has put its full support towards the Emirates Red Crescent’s "UAE Stands With Lebanon" campaign to help provide relief to those most in need. We have set up different ways for our customers to donate to aid efforts across our malls, stores and digital touchpoints: Essential items can be placed in Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) | الهلال الأحمر الإماراتي donation boxes in Mall of the Emirates and City Centre Mirdif, Deira and Al Zahia. Customers can make cash donations via designated Emirates Red Crescent donation stands or and at the checkout counters in all Carrefour stores in the UAE, VOX Cinemas, Ski Dubai, THAT Concept Store, Magic Planets and digitally via the Carrefour app and https://maf.am/4h1pOrl. SHARE points can be donated to the “UAE Stands With Lebanon” campaign through the SHARE app.

As we reflect on Climate Week NYC 2024, we take this opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to climate action. Since 2019, we've achieved a 23% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions while aligning our financial performance with environmental goals through two sustainability-linked loans totalling $2.75B. We double down on this commitment through our various global and regional memberships such as the World Economic Forum's Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders.
