New product development is usually centered around either advanced technologies to improve patient outcomes (i.e., new materials/surface technologies or minimally invasive techniques) and/or improvement in surgical technique to reduce surgical complexity (i.e., stand-alone technologies such as STALIF C or MIDLINE II).
We continue to innovate around our STALIF product portfolio through expanded patient indications and advanced materials.
In conjunction, the company's
STALIF FLX Integrated Interbody devices offer a unique advantage over other all-titanium implants, as they are indicated for use at one or two contiguous levels with both autograft and/or allogenic bone graft.
Both
Stalif C and
Stalif C-Ti, used in cervical fusion procedures, received their allogeneic clearance in late 2014.
Now it is hoping for a number of orders for the
Stalif, which is used for the treatment of back pain, believed to be the number one medical complaint in the western world.
Dubbed
Stalif TT, the implant is being developed by Redditchbased orthopaedic and obstetrics company Surgicraft, a member of Medilink West Midlands, with a pounds 147,000 grant from the Department for Trade and Industry.
