We screened and assessed variation at 17 microsatellite loci from three species of the cuttlefish genus of Sepia: Sepia officinalis, Sofl, Sof2, Sof6 (Shaw & Perez-Losada 2000); Sepia apama.

In this study, the amplification of six primer pairs was successful: four pairs were polymorphic (Table 1), whereas two pairs (Sof2 and Secu3) were monomorphic.
