For this study, volunteers were solicited from introductory psychology courses at George Fox University, Roberts Wesleyan College, and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC), and from graduate courses at Richmont Graduate University. Participants were drawn from three diverse areas of the United States: the Northeast, Northwest, and Southeast.
