There's also evidence that obsession with sexual conspiracy in the 1990s has replaced the Communist conspiracy-mongering of the 1950s: Increasingly, invocations of NewMc are replete with overtones of sexual anxiety.

Now the NewMc is an indiscriminate label with which to smear those asking tough questions, whether feminists, reporters or political opponents.
