With the 2nd edition of the Youth Olympics coming up next year August in Nanjing, China, African countries will once again compete in the ANOCA games with the Botswana capital, Gaborone, being the host.

During the games, the Supreme Council for Sport in Africa (SCSA) and the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (Anoca) also met in the city.

Rabat The Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) awarded on Monday, August 19, in Rabat, the Olympic African Order of Merit to King Mohammed VI.ANOCA President, Mustapha Berraf, handed the distinction to Prince Moulay Rachid on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the 12th African Games.

A total of 28 participants will represent the nation at the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (Anoca) Zone V Youth Games that gets underway today in Huye, Rwanda.

During his meeting, Tuesday in Mauritius, with Tunisian National Olympic Committee President and Secretary-General Mehrez Boussayene and Mahmoud Hammami, on the sidelines of the National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) general assembly, expressed "deep sympathy" and "solidarity with the Tunisian people in this terrible ordeal."

Speakers included Secretary General of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), Tomas Sithole, IOC Head of Olympic Games Media Operations Anthony Edgar and Secretary General of the Association of International Sports Press (AIPS), Evelyn Watta.
