Increased Field of View (FOV) face gasket for the HP Reverb G2.
The HP Reverb G2 comes with a gasket designed to fit as many face shapes as possible. This was a compromised design that leaves comfort and FOV on the table. You might have noticed pressure from the stock gasket on the sides of your temples, or a small field of view compared to previous headsets, like the Odyssey+. If so, this gasket will make the headset a little nicer to use.
Why:
I was not too happy with the HP design when I got my G2 and set out to improve upon it. After over 12 revisions, this gasket design brings the eyes 8-10mm closer to the lenses, increasing FOV by 5-10 degrees. It is also slightly wider, resolving the pinching some get on the sides of their heads.
When I was piecing everything together, I realized just by buying the magnets, velcro tape, and Vive Pro pads for myself, I had already spent over $30 on those materials alone. And that's before all the time spent tuning my printer for this piece. Hours of tweaking settings, days of waiting for materials, and several weeks iterating on the design...I realized these could help out the G2 community a ton.
Compared to the typical cover mod, this one is more durable, more comfortable, and more adjustable.

*FYI: some users have confirmed fitment with VR Optician prescription lenses, but I would advise sourcing thicker padding (12-18mm) from Amazon if you want to give it a shot. I cannot guarantee compatibility with any prescription inserts due to the large variance in face shapes.
Note: I declare the accurate item value on customs forms.
Those with particularly deep set eyes may also notice an increase in sweet spot, but this has been highly variable based on face shape.
