Communication and outreach are one of the missions of the Institute of Space Science that aims to attract younger generations towards science by presenting them with the opportunities that science offers them. ISS also aims to make the Romanian public aware of the results obtained by Romanian researchers, as well as to increase the visibility and reputation of Romania in the space research and technology area. Finally, ISS wishes to contribute to the circulation of scientific results in the scientific community.
ISS has played an important role in Romania’s joining ESA as its 19th Member State. For this reason, we consider it our mission to promote ESA missions in Romania.
The Outreach and Communication Department handles all of ISS communication. The Department includes a Public Relations specialist, who is also leading the group, a professional video producer, video producer assistant and graphic designer and a reporter.
