Nina Hahn To Leave Nickelodeon After Over A Decade And A Half
Children’s TV industry veteran Nina Hahn will leave the Paramount-owned kidcaster Nickelodeon after more than 17 years at the end of the month, C21 Media is reporting.
UK-based Hahn, Senior Vice President (VP) of production and development at Paramount Global, will leave the company on August 31, having joined in 2005 as VP of international development for Nickelodeon.
A well-known figure on the international kids’ TV circuit, Hahn oversees content development and coproduction partnerships for animated, live-action and preschool content for Nickelodeon outside of the US.
Hahn has more than 25 years of experience creating and producing content for kids and is credited with being the driving force behind establishing the Nickelodeon brand as an international hub for creators and talent.
During her tenure at Nickelodeon, Hahn has led the organisation’s first global hub for content sourcing and creation, and initiated projects in markets such China, Israel and India, where the company was not previously active.
London-based Hahn is also head of VIS Kids, the division launched towards the end of 2020 that develops and produces content for Nickelodeon and other Paramount-owned brands in addition to third-party buyers and partners.
Among the successful programming Hahn has shepherded during her time at Nickelodeon International is House of Anubis, Nella the Princess Knight and It’s Pony.
Prior to joining Nickelodeon, Hahn worked as an independent producer and development consultant for kids content producers and broadcasters in New York, including HBO and Jim Henson Productions.
C21 understands Hahn will be returning to consulting after leaving Paramount at the end of the month.

Nick Jr. Spain (España) will start to premiere brand-new episodes of Nella the Princess Knight weekdays at 10:50 from Monday 10th February 2020! "Piece of Cake", "Cici Saves the Day", "Big Little Rides" and "A Tale of Two Nellas". The series is locally titled Nella, Una Princesa Valiente in Spain.

'The Loud House', 'Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling' and 'Nella the Princess Knight' Receive Nominations in 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards
GLAAD, the world’s largest LGBTQ media advocacy organization, has announced the very exciting news that Nickelodeon has received three nominations in the "Outstanding Kids & Family Programming" category of the 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards! The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community and the issues that affect their lives.
Nickelodeon's hit animated series The Loud House has been nominated for for featuring accurate and inclusive representations of the gay and bisexual communities. The series currently features four LGBTQ+ characters: Lincoln's best friend, Clyde McBride has two fathers, Harold and Howard; and Lincoln's sister, Luna, and her crush, Sam, are bi-sexual.
Nickelodeon's popular animated preschool series Nella the Princess Knight has garnered a nomination for the episode “A Tale of Two Nellas”. In the episode, which premiered on Sunday, October 20, 2019, when Gork dresses as Nella for a costume party, a tricky villain mistakes him for the real princess knight.
And Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling (lead image), the Nickelodeon Original Movie which picks up where the original '90s Rocko's Modern Life series left off, with Rocko, Heffer and Filburt having been lost in outer space since 1996. The special is celebrated for featuring a prominent transgender character named Rachel. When the gang blasts back to earth, they have to get to grips 21st century modern life, and soon discover that Ralph Bighead, the child of Mr. and Mrs. Bighead and creator of their favorite TV show The Fatheads, is now a woman named Rachel. The movie debuted on Netflix in August 2019. The production team worked closely with GLAAD to make the storytelling as authentic and knowledgeable as possible.
Additionally, the Arthur episode "Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone", in which Mr. Ratburn comes out as being homosexual and getting married, is also nominated in "Outstanding Kids & Family Programming" category of the 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards!
This year, GLAAD is expanding it's "Outstanding Kids & Family Programming" category to ten nominees as a result of an increase in LGBTQ images across the kids and family television programming and an increase in GLAAD’s work to advocate for inclusion in this genre. Rounding out GLAAD's "Outstanding Kids & Family Programming" category are: Andi Mack (Disney Channel); Danger & Eggs for the episode "Chosen Family" (Amazon); Doc McStuffins for the episode "The Emergency Plan" (Disney Channel); and Steven Universe (Cartoon Network).

Egmont Publishing Launches Special 'Nella the Princess Knight' Themed Issue of Showcase Magazine

UK - Egmont Publishing has revealed that its latest issue of Showcase magazine is a special based on the popular Nick Jr. television series, Nella the Princess Knight!
Nella the Princess Knight Special Issue
The animated preschool series focusses on problem-solving and heroism and this messaging will be carried through the exclusive issue of Showcase’s latest magazine.
The issue will introduce readers to Nella’s kingdom through stories, snap cards, princess-themed puzzles and colouring. The magazine will also be accompanied by more than 30 stickers and a free play-set, featuring a figurine of Nella’s unicorn sidekick, Trinket.
Kiran Vara, publisher at Egmont, said, “We’re so excited to be partnering with Nickelodeon in bringing Nella and her friends to print and we’re sure that our readers will love learning more about their favourite Princess Knight through the magazine’s engaging activities. The special edition Nella the Princess Knight Showcase magazine goes on sale on Wednesday 29th May 2019, with an rrp of £3.99.
Nella the Princess Knight made its debut on Nick Jr. UK & Ireland on Monday 15th May 2017, and follows the adventures of an 8 year old heroine Nella, who is far from your average Princess… she can also transform into a Princess Knight to save her kingdom. With the compassion and grace required of a royal mixed with the courage and determination that comes with Knighthood, Nella embodies the perfect Princess Knight.
She enjoys dancing at extravagant balls just as much as meeting fire-breathing dragons and her ability to transform into a Princess Knight transcends the traditional roles and expectations of a Princess. Alongside her friends: Trinket, Nella’s glamorous unicorn and best friend; Sir Garrett, a loyal and adventurous knight; and Clod, Garrett’s trusty steed, Nella embarks on heroic quests to protect the kingdom and help her friends.

Amscan Launches New Nickelodeon Dress-Up and Partyware Lines
New licensed dress-up and partyware collections launching for key Nickelodeon preschool brands.
Party and dress-up licensee Amscan has launched a selection of new Nickelodeon licensed dress-up and partyware collections!
The range includes new lines from Nickelodeon's popular preschool shows Nella the Princess Knight, Top Wing, Sunny Day and Rusty Rivets.
Brand new for 2019 are a number of new dress-up options, co-ordinating ranges of partyware and balloons, all designed to bring favourite preschool characters to life.
New Top Wing costumes feature Swift, Penny and Rod – the main characters from the action-adventure animated preschool series – with new partyware and balloons coming soon. Available to pre-order now, stock is due in September 2019.
Costumes will also be available for preschool animation Sunny Day, while co-ordinated partyware and balloons for Rusty Rivets and Nella the Princess Knight are in stock now.
The new lines expand on Amscan's partnership with Nickelodeon, which has seen the party and dress-up company launch partyware and costumes inspired by hit Nickelodeon properties such as PAW Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants, Double Dare and Shimmer and Shine.

The Painting Gem; Longest Day Ever: When Zeta gets ahold of a magical painting gem, she creates lots of troublesome art that the girls must get under control; When Leah accidentally wishes for the day to last forever, the kids must find a way to make the moon come up to end the day.
The girls partake in a Zahracorn Race. Zeta and Nazboo enter with a tiny, speedy Zahracorn named Tickles. / The girls take Adara's Zahracorn to the salon, but must track her down when she gets spooked by all the salon magic.

- Rusty and the Temple of Boom: When Liam gets trapped inside an ancient elephant temple, Rusty and Ruby enlist the bots to breach the temple and find him. Ultimately, they undertake the recue with a new creature, Elephantbot.
