Notes

    1 - The third phase of the ROK's F-X program (F-X-3) was to select only one type aircraft, with the F-15SE and F-35A being contenders. The F-15SE was initially selected, but then the F-35A was selected.

    2 - These aircraft were reported to be in storage by 2010.

    3 - These aircraft were leased from the United States beginning in 1999. They began being returned to the United States in 2010.

    4 - The ROK Army turned over the Air Defense mission to the ROK Air Force in 1991.
