Car of the Year 2025: Preliminary Long list of Candidates

We already know the 50 models that make up the preliminary long list of candidates for Car of the Year in Europe 2025. All the candidates should be new vehicles on sale now or before year's end in five or more European markets.

The voting process has two stages: the first one will produce a short list of seven nominees and then the winner of the prestigious Car of the Year trophy will be revealed.

Upcoming schedule for the 2025 Car of the Year is as follow :November 15th : Finalization of the long list • November 22nd : First round voting. • November 25th : Short list publication.

The active COTY Jury consists of 59 Jury members from 22 countries, because the two Russian members are still suspended.
