An unforgettable experience
We were booked onto a tea ceremony and origami lesson, and I would recommend this for anyone who is interested in traditional Japanese culture! It was a beautiful experience from start to finish, and the hosts were delightful.
Probably our favorite activity in Kyoto!
Our host was Mieko, who was lovely - warm, friendly, very good at her job, and excellent English. We learned how to make sushi, miso soup and a spinach sesame seed salad. The food was delicious and we were given a recipe book to take home.
Tea ceremony with Yukiko!
We absolutely loved our tea ceremony and origami lesson!!!! Yukiko is the sweetest and best - we loved her! We ended up buying some of the local matcha and tea whisks! Highly recommend!
