Composer Robert Ouyang Rusli (aka OHYUNG) (Test Pattern, Bruiser, Photgrapher) is reteaming with Julio Torres on the upcoming HBO original series Fantasmas. The show created, directed, written by and starring Torres tells the tale of when he lost a golden oyster. The comedy follows Torres as he navigates a dreamlike New York and encounters a group of strange characters while searching for the item. Torres is also executive producing the project with Emma Stone & Dave McCary (The Curse, I Saw the TV Glow) for Fruit Tree, Alex Bach (Scare Me, Rosy) and Daniel Powell (Life & Beth, Inside Amy Schumer) for Irony Point, as well as Olivia Gerke for 3 Arts. Rusli has previously scored Torres’ feature directorial debut, Problemista. Fantasmas will premiere this June on HBO.
