Dhani Harrison & Paul Hicks (Beautiful Creatures, Learning to Drive, The Divide, Outsiders) have composed the original score for the new HBO docu-series The Case Against Adnan Syed. The 4-parter is directed by Amy Berg (West of Memphis, Deliver Us from Evil) and centers on the 1999 murder of 18-year-old Baltimore County high school student Hae Min Lee, and the subsequent conviction of her ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed, a case brought to global attention by the hugely popular Serial podcast. Henrietta Conrad & Jemima Khan are producing the project for INSTINCT Productions, alongside Eric Fellner, Tim Bevan (Atonement, Les Miserables) & Andrew Stearn (Shameless) for Working Title TV, Nancy Abraham & Lisa Heller for HBO, as well as Berg herself, Sara Bernstein and Rabia Chaudry. Nick Cave & Warren Ellis have originally been announced as the composers of the show. Harrison & Hicks have previously written the opening titles song for the Berg-produced Netflix docu-series Dogs. The Case Against Adnan Syed will premiere on March 10, 2019 exclusively on HBO. Visit the official show website for more information.
