State Secretary for Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations, Simona Cojocaru, chaired, on March 25-26, 2025, the 53rd meeting of the Political-Military Steering Committee (PMSC) and the 52nd meeting of the Coordination Committee within the "South-Eastern Europe Defence Ministerial Process" (SEDM).
Minister of National Defence, Angel Tîlvăr, had an official meeting with NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte, at the Alliance Headquarters in Brussels on Tuesday, March 25. The talks focused on the security developments in the Black Sea region, the consequences of the Russian Federation's war of aggression against Ukraine and joint efforts to strengthen the deterrence and defence posture on the eastern flank.
On Monday, March 24, the Minister of National Defence, Angel Tîlvăr, met with the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office for the Transnistrian Settlement Process, His Excellency Mr. Thomas Lenk, with the Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova, Her Excellency Ms. Kelly Keiderling, and with the Ambassador of Finland to Romania, Her Excellency Ms. Leena Liukkonen.
