The college is home to five academic departments, 10 research centers and the University of Texas High School District (UTHSD).

Following nearly 30 years of service to Texas public schools, University of Texas at Austin High School Special Purpose District superintendent, Dr. Beth Cooper, is retiring from her role to become an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership at Ball State University.
