In keeping with registration last year, and in contrast to DL workshops before that, registration is open to everyone, and not by invitation only. We encourage attendance by all interested parties. Registration fees:
Full-time students: | 160 pounds |
Regular participants: | 235 pounds |
Late registration (from May 16, 2006): | 280 pounds |
The registration fee includes coffee breaks, three lunches and a social dinner at Broadoaks Country House.
Please register by filling out the registration form and faxing it to Uli Sattler (the number is on the form).
Typically we offer a limited number of student travel awards to help young researchers attend DL. Details about applications will appear in this space.
The DL06 workshop will be held in the beautiful Lake District of the United Kingdom at the Hydro Hotel (see a map of the location or another map which shows the Hydro in relation to the closest train station and the KR location).
The closest international airport is Manchester Airport. The easiest way to get to the workshop location from Manchester is by train (the nearest train station is Windermere Railway Station). If you are driving, it is about a 2 hour trip from the airport. (See the KR travel page, as well.)
The Lake District has quite a range of accomodations (from bed and breakfasts to hotels to cottages). NOTE: You may want to consider alternatives to the conference venue itself, the Hydro, as it has mixed reviews.
The Tourist information center is a good source of information.
Note: Accomodations may be scarce! Book now.
