  • Master Thesis Supervision in Computer Engineering

    I am available to supervise master's theses in Computer Engineering, particularly in the fields of:

    • Graph Databases
    • Search engines
    • Web Applications

    The selection process for thesis supervision is based on two main criteria:

    1. Your interest in the topics covered in the related courses.
    2. Your Grade Point Average (GPA), where a minimum of 27/30 is generally the lower bound considered.

    Please note that I do not supervise theses that involve industrial internships unless the company has been proposed by myself during the Graph Databases course.

Bio

A computer science engineer, Gianmaria Silvello is full professor at Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padua. His research spans knowledge management, intelligent information systems, information access, algorithmic fairness, digital libraries and data provenance and citation.

He has published 200+ scientific papers in national and international venues.

He has been appointed member of the International Advisory Panel (IAP) of the Danish Data Science Academy (February 2022 - September 2024).

He is member of the editorial board of Information Processing & Management.

He is associate editor of IEEE Access.

He is member of the editorial board of Frontiers in Research Metrics and Analytics (Scholarly Communication).

He is member of the editorial advisory board of Digital Library Perspectives.

He is member of the editorial board of the Journal of Universal Computer Science.
