    It's a good book for beginners, but I prefer to reading alfresco 3 cookbook before reading this book, then you can understand what's going on in this book. I focused in this book on web scripting, I didn't focused on content model cause I did read about that from alfresco 3 cookbook, there is some examples about that but I didn't read it yet. Then I went direct to web scripting cause I need more reading about that. The good things about this book is that it has many examples, but I would love if the writer tried to put more photos on each examples like what alfresco 3 cookbook writer did. The book is good anyhow it's a straight forward tutorial and you just need to use the alfresco installer to get familiar with the content.I Just install alfresco from the installer and start learning. But I mainly recommend to buy alfresco 3 cookbook before reading this book if you fresh learner.

    This is the best book I've found so far for getting started with developing for Alfresco - the only minor issue (common to most other Alfresco books too) is that the chapter on workflow covers the jBPM engine which is now deprecated in favour of Activiti. Other than that, it gives good solid coverage still relevant for Alfresco 4. It's not encyclopaedic (Alfresco is a big system) but it covers the basics and has some extended examples.

    The book itself is a good one - however for my issues, it is only partially helpful. Some things are left open. Still recommend this if you want to use Alfresco, there seems to be no better alternative.

    This book is an excellent place to start when looking at Alfresco. The book is easy to read, and explains everything clearly. The code for all the examples in the book are available online, unless you want to type them in yourself. BE AWARE - The book was written when version 3.2 was the current release. Some tweaks may be required to the code if you are using a different version.

    Pour un utilisateur ou programmeur, les exemples sont soit trop simples ou trop complexes ou incomplets.
    Pas pédagogique donc, et ennuyeux : soit on est pris pour des enfants de trois ans ou alors il faut être
    sorti du MIT.
