Anomalies in multi-lepton final states at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) have been reported in Refs.~\cite{vonBuddenbrock:2017gvy,vonBuddenbrock:2019ajh}. These can be interpreted in terms of the production of a heavy boson, $H$, decaying into a Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson, $h$, and a singlet scalar, $S$, which is treated as a SM Higgs-like boson. Accumulating evidence for the associated production of a new Higgs boson at the LHC

In the last decades, the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics has been extensively tested and confirmed, with the announced discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012 being the last missing puzzle piece. Even though since then the search for new particles and interactions has been further intensified, the experiments ATLAS and CMS at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN did not find evidence for the direct production of a new state. The field of particle physics is at the crossroads. The discovery of a Higgs-like boson completed the Standard Model (SM), but the lacking observation of convincing resonances Beyond the SM (BSM) offers no guidance for the future of particle physics. [...]

Novel considerations are presented on the physics, apparatus and accelerator designs for a future, luminous, energy frontier electron-hadron ($eh$) scattering experiment at the LHC in the thirties for which key physics topics and their relation to the hadron-hadron HL-LHC physics programme are discussed. Demands are derived set by these physics topics on the design of the LHeC detector, a corresponding update of which is described. [...]

Three spare modules of the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter were exposed to test beams from the Super Proton Synchrotron accelerator at CERN in 2017. The measurements of the energy response and resolution of the detector to positive pions and kaons and protons with energy in the range 16 to 30 GeV are reported. [...]

Prompted by the generally poor understanding of the nature of magnetic phenomena in 3d-metal doped ZnO, we have undertaken on-line Fe-57 Mossbauer spectroscopy on ZnO single crystals in an external magnetic field of 0.6 T, following the implantation of radioactive Mn-57 ions at room temperature. The Mossbauer spectra of the dilute Fe impurities are dominated by sextets whose angular dependence rules out an ordered magnetic state (which had been previously proposed) but are well accounted for on the basis of Fe3+ paramagnetic centers on substitutional Zn sites with unusually long relaxation times (> 20 ns) [...]
