This proceeding provides a full review of the R&D; for the μ-RWELL technology for the FCC-ee application, with the report on an update on the detector optimization, on the studies to improve the ASIC, and on the evaluation of the proposed performance within the IDEA framework. In the IDEA experiment, μ-RWELL technology is proposed for the muon systems and the pre-shower. [...]

Optimization of monolithic pixel sensors for high energy physics applications using 3D TCAD simulations
/ Borghello, Giulio (CERN) ; Lemoine, Corentin (CERN ; Strasbourg, IPHC) ; Sanna, Isabella (CERN ; Munich, Tech. U.) ; Snoeys, Walter (CERN)
An extensive simulation effort was undertaken in the framework of the R&D; of the CERN Experimental Physics department in collaboration with the ALICE experiment, to optimize the pixel sensor of the ITS3 vertex detector, a monolithic active pixel sensor (MAPS) developed for the ALICE experiment at CERN. Acting on the doping profiles, this set of simulations demonstrates the potential for substantial reduction in sensor capacitance and charge collection time. [...]

TCAD and charge transport simulations of MAPS in 65 nm for the ALICE ITS3
/ Sanna, I (Munich, Tech. U. ; CERN) ; Lemoine, C (CERN ; Strasbourg, IPHC) ; Borghello, G (CERN) ; Snoeys, W (CERN)
/ALICE Collaboration
As part of the upgrade to the Inner Tracking System 3 (ITS3) for ALICE and the strategicR&D; programme of the CERN EP department, stitched Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors (MAPS) arebeing developed using a 65 nm CMOS imaging process. Several sensor prototypes were characterizedin laboratory using radioactive sources, particularly the $^{55}$Fe source, which was extensivelyused. [...]

Measurement and Modeling of Initial Quench Development in Nb3Sn Accelerator Magnets
/ Keijzer, Ruben (Twente U., Enschede) ; Willering, Gerard (CERN) ; Rogacki, Piotr (CERN) ; Fiscarelli, Lucio (CERN) ; Russenschuck, Stephan (CERN) ; Dhallé, Marc (Twente U., Enschede) ; Kate, Herman Ten (Twente U., Enschede)
Accelerator magnets are equipped with voltage taps and, on the test bench, with so-called quench antenna's to monitor the transient effects occurring during a magnet quench. Proper identification and localization of a quench origin is vital for understanding performance issues in Nb3Sn accelerator magnets. [...]

Prototype measurement results in a 65 nm technology and TCAD simulations towards more radiation tolerant monolithic pixel sensors
/ Lemoine, C (CERN ; Strasbourg, IPHC) ; Aglieri Rinella, G (CERN) ; Baudot, J (Strasbourg, IPHC) ; Borghello, G (CERN) ; Carnesecchi, F (CERN) ; Hillemanns, H (CERN) ; Kluge, A (CERN) ; Kucharska, G (CERN) ; Leitao, P V (CERN) ; Mager, M (CERN) et al.
Early measurements on monolithic pixel sensor prototypes in the TPSCo 65 nm technology indicate a different response and radiation tolerance (up to5×10$^{15}$ 1 MeV n$_{eq}$ cm) for different sensor layout and process variants, illustrating the importance of layout and process in the path towards increased sensor radiation tolerance. Using these measurement results, TCAD simulations provide more insight to link the macroscopic behaviour of specific sensor variants to the details of its structure. [...]

Computational investigation of transport parameters of ions in gas-filled radiation detectors
/ Kalkan, Yalçın (Abant Izzet Baysal U. ; CERN ; Mus Alparslan U.) ; Arı, Sedat (Abant Izzet Baysal U. ; CERN) ; Orak, Salim (Unlisted, TR) ; Veenhof, Rob (CERN)
In this study, a novel computational method was developed toinvestigate the transport characteristics of ions in gas-filledradiation detectors, which are closely linked to the behavior ofions in gaseous detectors. Parameters such as polarizability, meanfree path, collision frequency, and mean free time, which directlyimpact ion mobility, were physically manipulated using the MonteCarlo technique, and the results were validated against fundamentalphysical principles.
