Search for a resonance decaying into a scalar particle and a Higgs boson in final states with leptons and two photons in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt s=13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
A search for a hypothetical heavy scalar particle, $X$, decaying into a singlet scalar particle, $S$, and a Standard Model Higgs boson, $H$, using 140 fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collision data at the centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector at the LHC is presented. The explored mass range is $300 \leq m_X \leq 1000$ GeV and $170 \leq m_S \leq 500$ GeV. [...]

Status of the scalar singlet dark matter model / GAMBIT Collaboration
One of the simplest viable models for dark matter is an additional neutral scalar, stabilised by a $\mathbb{Z}_2$ symmetry. Using the GAMBIT package and combining results from four independent samplers, we present Bayesian and frequentist global fits of this model. [...]

Is electroweak baryogenesis dead? / Cline, James M. (CERN ; McGill U.) /LHCb Collaboration
Electroweak baryogenesis is severely challenged in its traditional settings: the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, and in more general two Higgs doublet models. Fine tuning of parameters is required, or large couplings leading to a Landau pole at scales just above the new physics introduced. [...]

NLO electroweak corrections in general scalar singlet models / Costa, Raul (CERN ; Aveiro U.) ; Sampaio, Marco O. P. (Aveiro U.) ; Santos, Rui (LIP, Minho ; Lisbon U., CFTC ; Lisbon, ISEL)
If no new physics signals are found, in the coming years, at the Large Hadron Collider Run-2, an increase in precision of the Higgs couplings measurements will shift the dicussion to the effects of higher order corrections. In Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) theories this may become the only tool to probe new physics. [...]

Electroweak baryogenesis from a dark sector / Cline, James M. (CERN ; McGill U.) ; Kainulainen, Kimmo (Jyvaskyla U. ; Helsinki Inst. of Phys.) ; Tucker-Smith, David (Williams Coll.)
Adding an extra singlet scalar $S$ to the Higgs sector can provide a barrier at tree level between a false vacuum with restored electroweak symmetry and the true one. This has been demonstrated to readily give a strong phase transition as required for electroweak baryogenesis. [...]

Search for light bosons in decays of the 125 GeV Higgs boson in proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{s} = $ 8 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search is presented for decays beyond the standard model of the 125 GeV Higgs bosons to a pair of light bosons, based on models with extended scalar sectors. Light boson masses between 5 and 62.5 GeV are probed in final states containing four tau leptons, two muons and two b quarks, or two muons and two tau leptons. [...]

Non-anticommutative N=2 super-Yang-Mills theory with singlet deformation / Ferrara, Sergio (CERN ; Frascati) ; Sokatchev, Emery (Annecy, LAPTH)
We consider a non-anticommutative N=2 superspace with an SU(2) singlet and Lorentz scalar deformation parameter, $\{\theta^{\alpha i},\theta^{\beta j}\}_\star = -2iP \e^{\alpha\beta}\e^{ij}$. We exploit this unique feature of the N=2 case to construct a deformation of the non-Abelian super-Yang-Mills theory which preserves the full N=2 supersymmetry together with the SU(2) R symmetry and Lorentz invariance. Stabilized Singlets in Supergravity as a Source of the $\mu$-parameter / Kolda, Christopher F. (Princeton, Inst. Advanced Study) ; Pokorski, Stefan (CERN ; Warsaw U.) ; Polonsky, Nir (Rutgers U., Piscataway)
Within the context of supergravity-coupled supersymmetry, fields which are gauge and global singlets are usually considered anathema. Their vacuum expectation values are shifted by quadratically divergent tadpole diagrams which are cutoff at the Planck scale, destabilizing the classical potential and driving the singlet field to large values. [...]
