A projectile Coulomb-excitation experiment was performed at the radioactive-ion beam facility HIE-ISOLDE at CERN to obtain $E2$ and $M1$ transition matrix elements of $^{140}$Nd using the multistep Coulomb-excitation code GOSIA. The absolute $M1$ strengths, $\textrm{B}(M1;2^+_2→2^+_1)=0.033(8)μ^2_N,\textrm{B}(M1;2^+_3→2^+_1)=0.26^{+0.11}_{−0.10}μ^2_N$, and $\textrm{B}(M1;2^+_4→2^+_1)<0.04μ^2_{\textrm{N}}$, identify the $2^+_3$ state as the main fragment of the one-quadrupole-phonon proton-neutron mixed-symmetry state of $^{140}$Nd. Lifetime measurements in $^{52,54}$Ti to study shell evolution toward $N=32$ / AGATA Collaboration
Lifetimes of the excited states in the neutron-rich Ti52,54 nuclei, produced in a multinucleon-transfer reaction, were measured by employing the Cologne plunger device and the recoil-distance Doppler-shift method. The experiment was performed at the Grand Accélérateur National d'Ions Lourds facility by using the Advanced Gamma Tracking Array for the γ-ray detection, coupled to the large-acceptance variable mode spectrometer for an event-by-event particle identification. The first $2^+$ and $3^-$ states of the doubly magic nucleus $^{132}$Sn are populated via safe Coulomb excitation employing the recently commissioned HIE-ISOLDE accelerator at CERN in conjunction with the highly efficient MINIBALL array. In the present study, $B(E2, 2^{+1}\rightarrow 0^{+1})$ values have been measured in the$^{208,210}$Rn and$^{206}$Po nuclei through Coulomb excitation of re-accelerated radioactive beams in inverse kinematics at CERN-ISOLDE.
