Measurement of the mass difference between top quark and antiquark in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV / CMS Collaboration
The invariance of the standard model (SM) under the CPT transformation predicts equality of particle and antiparticle masses. This prediction is tested by measuring the mass difference between the top quark and antiquark (Delta m[t] = m[t] - m[t-bar]) that are produced in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, using events with a muon or an electron and at least four jets in the final state. A novel Beam Halo Monitor for the CMS experiment at the LHC / Orfanelli, S (Natl. Tech. U., Athens ; CERN) ; Dabrowski, A E (CERN) ; Giunta, M (CERN) ; Loos, R (CERN) ; Ambrose, M J (Minnesota U.) ; Mans, J (Minnesota U.) ; Rusack, R (Minnesota U.) ; Stifter, K (Minnesota U.) ; Stickland, D (Princeton U.) ; Fabbri, F (INFN, Bologna) et al.
A novel Beam Halo Monitor (BHM) has been designed and built for the CMS experiment at the LHC. It will provide an online, bunch-by-bunch measurement of background particles created by interactions of the proton beam with residual gas molecules in the vacuum chamber or with collimator material upstream of CMS. Measurement of the centrality dependence of the charged-particle pseudorapidity distribution in proton--lead collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_\text{NN}}} = 5.02$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The centrality dependence of the mean charged-particle multiplicity as a function of pseudorapidity is measured in approximately 1 $\mu$b$^{-1}$ of proton--lead collisions at a nucleon--nucleon centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s_{_\text{NN}}} = 5.02$ TeV using the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Charged particles with absolute pseudorapidity less than 2.7 are reconstructed using the ATLAS pixel detector. [...]

Design of a novel Cherenkov detectors system for machine induced background monitoring in the CMS cavern / Orfanelli, Styliani (Natl. Tech. U., Athens ; CERN) ; Dabrowski, Anne E (CERN) ; Giunta, Marina (CERN) ; Stickland, David P (Princeton U.) ; Ambrose, Mitchell J (Minnesota U.) ; Rusack, Roger (Minnesota U.) ; Finkel, Alexey (Minnesota U.)
A novel detector system has been designed for an efficient online measurement of the machineinduced background in the CMS experimental cavern. The suppression of the CMS cavern background originating from pp collision products and the 25 ns bunch spacing have set the requirements for the detector design. [...]

Measurement of the cross-section of high transverse momentum vector bosons reconstructed as single jets and studies of jet substructure in $pp$ collisions at ${\sqrt{s}}$ = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
This paper presents a measurement of the cross-section for high transverse momentum $W$ and $Z$ bosons produced in $pp$ collisions and decaying to all-hadronic final states. The data used in the analysis were recorded by the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=7~\rm TeV$ and correspond to an integrated luminosity of $4.6~\rm fb^{-1}$. Measurement of jet fragmentation in PbPb and pp collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The jet fragmentation function of inclusive jets with transverse momentum $p_T$ above 100 GeV/c in PbPb collisions has been measured using reconstructed charged particles with $p_T$ above 1 GeV/c in a cone of radius 0.3 around the jet axis. A data sample of PbPb collisions collected in 2011 at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 150 inverse-microbarns is used. Measurement of the ratio of inclusive jet cross sections using the anti-$k_T$ algorithm with radius parameters R=0.5 and 0.7 in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Measurements of the inclusive jet cross section with the anti-$k_t$ clustering algorithm are presented for two radius parameters, R=0.5 and 0.7. They are based on data from LHC proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.0 inverse-femtobarns collected with the CMS detector in 2011. [...]
