Measurement of the time-dependent $CP$ asymmetry in $B^0 \to J/\psi K^0_{\rm S}$ decays

This Letter reports a measurement of the $CP$ violation observables $S_{J/\psi K^0_{\rm S}}$ and $C_{J/\psi K^0_{\rm S}}$ in the decay channel $B^0 \rightarrow J/\psi K^0_{\rm S}$ performed with 1.0 fb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV collected by the LHCb experiment. The fit to the data yields $S_{J/\psi K^0_{\rm S}}= 0.73 \pm 0.07 {\rm (stat)} \pm 0.04 {\rm (syst)}$ and $C_{J/\psi K^0_{\rm S}}= 0.03 \pm 0.09 {\rm (stat)} \pm 0.01 {\rm (syst)}$. [...]

First observation of the decays $\bar{B}^0_{(s)}\to D_s^+K^-\pi^+\pi^-$ and $\bar{B}^0_s\to D_{s1}(2536)^+\pi^-$

The first observation of the decays $\bar{B}^0_{s}\to D_s^+K^-\pi^+\pi^-$ and $\bar{B}^0\to D_s^+K^-\pi^+\pi^-$ are reported using an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb$^{-1}$ recorded by the LHCb experiment. The branching fractions, normalized with respect to $\bar{B}^0_{s}\to D_s^+\pi^-\pi^+\pi^-$ and $\bar{B}^0_{s}\to D_s^+K^-\pi^+\pi^-$, respectively, are measured to be $\frac{B(\bar{B}^0_{s}\to D_s^+K^-\pi^+\pi^-)}{B(\bar{B}^0_{s}\to D_s^+\pi^-\pi^+\pi^-)} = (5.2\pm0.5\pm0.3)\times10^{-2}$, $\frac{B(\bar{B}^0\to D_s^+K^-\pi^+\pi^-)}{B(\bar{B}^0_{s}\to D_s^+K^-\pi^+\pi^-)} = 0.54\pm0.07\pm0.07$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. A study of the $Z$ production cross-section in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV using tau final states

Measurement of the $B^0$--$\bar B^0$ oscillation frequency $\Delta m_d$ with the decays $B^0 \to D^- \pi^+$ and $B^0 \to J\ \psi K^{*0}$

The $B^0$--$\bar B^0$ oscillation frequency $\Delta m_d$ is measured by the LHCb experiment using a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $1.0\,$fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 7\,$TeV, and is found to be $\Delta m_d = 0.5156 \pm 0.0051\,($stat.$) \pm 0.0033\,($syst.$)\,$ps$^{-1}$. The measurement is based on results from analyses of the decays $B^0 \to D^- \pi^+$ ($D^- \to K^+ \pi^- \pi^-$) and $B^0 \to J\ \psi K^{*0}$ ($J\ \psi \to \mu^+ \mu^-$, $K^{*0} \to K^+ \pi^-$) and their charge conjugated modes..
