Coulomb excitation of Zn74,76
/ ISOLDE Collaboration
The first experiment using radioactive beams post-accelerated by the HIE-ISOLDE facility has enabled to obtain a precise set of B(E2) transition probabilities in neutron-rich Zn74,76 isotopes. The resulting B(E2; 21+→01+) values are consistent with those determined in earlier REX-ISOLDE measurements. [...]

Coulomb excitation of pear-shaped nuclei
/ Butler, Peter (Liverpool U.) ; Gaffney, Liam (Liverpool U. ; CERN) ; Spagnoletti, Pietro (West Scotland U.) ; Konki, Joonas (CERN) ; Scheck, Marcus (West Scotland U.) ; Smith, John (West Scotland U.) ; Abrahams, Kenzo (Western Cape U.) ; Bowry, Michael (TRIUMF) ; Cederkäll, Joakim (Lund U.) ; Chupp, Timothy (Michigan U.) et al.
There is a large body of evidence that atomic nuclei can undergo octupole distortion and assume the shape of a pear. This phenomenon is important for measurements of electric-dipole moments of atoms, which would indicate CP violation and hence probe physics beyond the Standard Model of particle physics. [...]

Coulomb excitation of $^{222}$Rn
/ Spagnoletti, P (West Scotland U. ; Simon Fraser U., Dept. Chem.) ; Butler, P A (Liverpool U.) ; Gaffney, L P (Liverpool U. ; CERN) ; Abrahams, K (Western Cape U.) ; Bowry, M (West Scotland U. ; TRIUMF) ; Cederkäll, J (Lund U.) ; Chupp, T (U. The nature of quadrupole and octupole collectivity in $^{222}$Rn was investigated by determining the electric-quadrupole (E2) and octupole (E3) matrix elements using subbarrier, multistep Coulomb excitation. The radioactive $^{222}$Rn beam, accelerated to 4.23 MeV/u, was provided by the HIE-ISOLDE facility at CERN. [...]

First β-decay spectroscopy of $^{135}$In and new $β$-decay branches of $^{134}$In
/ IDS Collaboration
The $\beta$ decay of the neutron-rich $^{134}$In and $^{135}$In was investigated experimentally in order to provide new insights into the nuclear structure of the tin isotopes with magic proton number $Z=50$ above the $N=82$ shell. The $\beta$-delayed $\gamma$-ray spectroscopy measurement was performed at the ISOLDE facility at CERN, where indium isotopes were selectively laser-ionized and on-line mass separated. [...]

High-Statistics Sub-Barrier Coulomb Excitation of $^{106,108,110}$Sn
/ Park, J (Lund U.) ; Knyazev, A (Lund U.) ; Rickert, E (Lund U.) ; Golubev, P (Lund U.) ; Cederkäll, J (Lund U. ; CERN) ; Andreyev, A N (CERN ; York U., England) ; de Angelis, G (INFN, Legnaro) ; Arnswald, K (Cologne U.) ; Barber, L (Manchester U.) ; Berger, C (Munich, Tech. U.) et al.
A Coulomb excitation campaign on $^{106,108,110}$Sn at 4.4–4.5 MeV/u was launched at the HIE-ISOLDE facility at CERN. Larger excitation cross sections and γ-ray statistics were achieved compared to previous experiments at ∼2.8 MeV/u. [...]
