The Extreme Energy Events Project is an educational and scientific initiative lead by the Museo Storico della Fisica e Centro Studi e Ricerche Enrico Fermi (CREF) and the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN), two research Institutions under the control of the Italian Ministero dell’Universit`a e Ricerca (MUR). The EEE Project studies cosmic rays by means of a series of detectors located inside Italian high schools or INFN/University laboratories. [...]

A central question in strong-interaction physics, governed by quantum chromodynamics (QCD), is whether femto-scale droplets of quark--gluon plasma (QGP) form in small collision systems involving projectiles significantly smaller than heavy ions. Collisions of light ions such as $^{16}$O and $^{20}$Ne offer a unique opportunity to probe the emergence of collective behavior in QCD matter. [...]

Cagliari (main) ; INFN, Cagliari) ; Boike, J (Unlisted, DE ; Humboldt U., Berlin (main)) et al.
During the series of intense solar flares and coronal mass ejections, that occurred in May 2024, a remarkable Forbush decrease in the cosmic ray flux was observed on the Earth. While this event was observed by particle detectors around the world, the archipelago of Svalbard was heavily exposed to it due to the weak geomagnetic shielding in the polar region. [...]

The first measurement of $\Sigma^{+}$ production at the LHC is presented. The measurement is performed at midrapidity in both minimum-bias and high-multiplicity pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} =13$ TeV. [...]

Direct measurements of the $\rho^0$p interaction have remained so far elusive, with most insights derived indirectly from photoproduction or low-energy partial wave analyses. This letter presents the first direct observation of the $\rho^0$p interaction, obtained through two-particle correlations measured in high-multiplicity, ultrarelativistic proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV by the ALICE Collaboration at the LHC. Multiplicity dependence of $\Xi_{\rm c}^+$ and $\Xi_{\rm c}^0$ production in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV
/ Abualrob, Ibrahim Jaser (Houston U.) ; Acharya, Shreyasi (INFN, Bari) ; Aglieri Rinella, Gianluca (CERN) ; Aglietta, Luca (Turin U. ; INFN, Turin) ; Agnello, Michelangelo (Turin Polytechnic) ; Agrawal, Neelima (Bologna U. ; INFN, Bologna) ; Ahammed, Zubayer (Calcutta, VECC) ; Ahmad, Shakeel (Aligarh Muslim U.) ; Ahuja, Ishaan (Kosice U.) ; Akbar, Zulkaida (Jakarta LIPI, Indonesian Inst. Sci.) et al.
The first measurement at midrapidity ($|y|< 0.5$) of the production yield of the strange-charm baryons $\Xi_{\rm c}^+$ and $\Xi_{\rm c}^0$ as a function of charged-particle multiplicity in proton$-$proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ALICE experiment at the LHC is reported. The $\Xi_{\rm c}^+$ baryon is reconstructed via the $\Xi_{\rm c}^+ \rightarrow \Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+$ decay channel in the range $ 4 < p_{\rm T} <12$ GeV/$c$, while the $\Xi_{\rm c}^0$ baryon is reconstructed via both the $\Xi_{\rm c}^0 \longrightarrow \Xi^- \pi^+$ and $\Xi_{\rm c}^0 \rightarrow {\rm e}^+ \nu_{\rm e}$ decay channels in the range $2 < p_{\rm T} <12$ GeV/$c$. / Abualrob, Ibrahim Jaser (Houston U.) ; Acharya, Shreyasi (INFN, Bari) ; Aglieri Rinella, Gianluca (CERN) ; Aglietta, Luca (Turin U. ; INFN, Turin) ; Agnello, Michelangelo (Turin Polytechnic) ; Agrawal, Neelima (Bologna U. ; INFN, Bologna) ; Ahammed, Zubayer (Calcutta, VECC) ; Ahmad, Shakeel (Aligarh Muslim U.) ; Ahuja, Ishaan (Kosice U.) ; Akbar, Zulkaida (Jakarta LIPI, Indonesian Inst. Sci.) et al.
The first results of K$^*$(892)$^{\pm}$ production at midrapidity ($|y| < 0.5$) in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV as a function of the event multiplicity are presented. The K$^*$(892)$^{\pm}$ has been reconstructed via its hadronic decay channel K$^*$(892)$^{\pm} \rightarrow~\pi^{\pm}~+~{\rm K}^0_{\rm S}$ using the ALICE detector at the LHC. [...]
