We present a Rabi-type measurement of two ground-state hydrogen hyperfine transitions performed in two opposite external magnetic field directions. This puts first constraints at the level of 2.3 10^-21 GeV on a set of coefficients of the Standard Model Extension, which were not measured by previous experiments. [...]

We present a Rydberg hydrogen beamline developed to commission techniques of stimulated deexcitation for application in antihydrogen experiments at CERN's Antiproton Decelerator. The stimulation of spontaneous decay is a key technology to enhance the number of ground-state anti-atoms available in a beam toward precision spectroscopy and gravity measurements..

Antihydrogen atoms with K or sub-K temperature are a powerful tool to precisely probe the validity of fundamental physics laws and the design of highly sensitive experiments needs antihydrogen with controllable and well defined conditions. We present here experimental results on the production of antihydrogen in a pulsed mode in which the time when 90% of the atoms are produced is known with an uncertainty of ~250 ns. [...]

Induced THz transitions in Rydberg caesium atoms for application in antihydrogen experiments / Vieille-Grosjean, Mélissa (LAC, Orsay) ; Dimova, Emiliya (Sofiya, Inst. Nucl. Res.) ; Mazzotta, Zeudi (LAC, Orsay) ; Comparat, Daniel (LAC, Orsay) ; Wolz, Tim (CERN) ; Malbrunot, Chloé (CERN)
Antihydrogen atoms are produced at CERN in highly excited Rydberg states. However, precision measurements require anti-atoms in ground state. [...]

Stimulated decay and formation of antihydrogen atoms / Wolz, Tim (CERN) ; Malbrunot, Chloé (CERN) ; Vieille-Grosjean, Mélissa (LAC, Orsay) ; Comparat, Daniel (LAC, Orsay)
Antihydrogen atoms are routinely formed at the Antiproton Decelerator at CERN in a wide range of Rydberg states. To perform precision measurements, experiments rely on ground state antimatter atoms which are currently obtained only after spontaneous decay [...]
