Measurement of the cross-section ratio σ$_{ψ(2S)}$/σ$_{J/ψ(1S)}$ in exclusive photoproduction at HERA / ZEUS Collaboration
The exclusive photoproduction reactions $\gamma p \to J/\psi(1S) p$ and $\gamma p \to \psi(2S) p$ have been measured at an $ep$ centre-of-mass energy of 318 GeV with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of 373 pb$^{-1}$. The measurement was made in the kinematic range $30 < W < 180$ GeV, $Q^2 < 1$ GeV$^2$ and $|t| < 1$ GeV$^2$, where $W$ is the photon--proton centre-of-mass energy, $Q^2$ is the photon virtuality and $t$ is the squared four-momentum transfer at the proton vertex. H1 and ZEUS have published single-differential cross sections for inclusive D^{*\pm}-meson production in deep-inelastic ep scattering at HERA from their respective final data sets. These cross sections are combined in the common visible phase-space region of photon virtuality Q2 > 5 GeV2, electron inelasticity 0.02 < y < 0.7 and the D^{*\pm} meson's transverse momentum pT (D^*) > 1.5 GeV and pseudorapidity |eta(D^*)| < 1.5. A new type of n-in-p planar pixel sensors have been developed at KEK/HPK in order to cope with the maximum particle fluence of 1-3x10^1^6 1MeV equivalent neutrons per square centimeter (n_e_q/cm^2) in the upcoming LHC upgrades. Measurement of beauty and charm production in deep inelastic scattering at HERA and measurement of the beauty-quark mass / ZEUS collaboration
The production of beauty and charm quarks in ep interactions has been studied with the ZEUS detector at HERA for exchanged four-momentum squared 5 < Q^2 < 1000 GeV^2 using an integrated luminosity of 354 pb^{-1}.
