Review of particle physics
/ Particle Data Group Collaboration
The Review summarizes much of particle physics and cosmology. Using data from previous editions, plus 2,717 new measurements from 869 papers, we list, evaluate, and average measured properties of gauge bosons and the recently discovered Higgs boson, leptons, quarks, mesons, and baryons [...]

Interpreting LHCb's Λb→Λcτ¯ν measurement and puzzles in semileptonic Λb decays
/ Bernlochner, Florian U. (Bonn U.) ; Ligeti, Zoltan (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley) ; Papucci, Michele (Caltech) ; Robinson, Dean J. (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley)
Normalizing the recent LHCb measurement of Λb→Λcτ¯ν to the standard model (SM) prediction for the Λb→Λcμ¯ν rate, instead of a LEP measurement, provides a more consistent comparison with the SM prediction for the lepton flavor universality ratio R(Λc). This modestly increases R(Λc) compared to the quoted LHCb result, such that it no longer hints at a suppression compared to the SM, which would be hard to accommodate in new physics scenarios that enhance R(D(∗)). Expression of Interest for the CODEX-b Detector
/ Aielli, Giulio (INFN, Rome2 ; Rome U., Tor Vergata) ; Ben-Haim, Eli (Paris U., VI-VII) ; Cardarelli, Roberto (INFN, Rome2) ; Charles, Matthew John (Paris U., VI-VII) ; Cid Vidal, Xabier (Santiago de Compostela U., IGFAE) ; Coco, Victor (CERN) ; Dey, Biplab (CCNU, Wuhan, Inst. Part. Phys.) ; Dumps, Raphael (CERN) ; Evans, Jared A. (Cincinnati U.) ; Gibbons, George (Birmingham U.) et al.
This document presents the physics case and ancillary studies for the proposed CODEX-b long-lived particle (LLP) detector, as well as for a smaller proof-of-concept demonstrator detector, CODEX-β, to be operated during Run 3 of the LHC. Our development of the CODEX-b physics case synthesizes `top-down' and `bottom-up' theoretical approaches, providing a detailed survey of both minimal and complete models featuring LLPs. [...]

Report from Working Group 4 : Opportunities in Flavour Physics at the HL-LHC and HE-LHC
/ Cerri, A. (Sussex U.) ; Gligorov, V.V. (Paris U., VI-VII) ; Malvezzi, S. (INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Martin Camalich, J. (Laguna U., Tenerife ; IAC, La Laguna) ; Zupan, J. (Cincinnati U.) ; Akar, S. Motivated by the success of the flavour physics programme carried out over the last decade at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), we characterize in detail the physics potential of its High-Luminosity and High-Energy upgrades in this domain of physics. We document the extraordinary breadth of the HL/HE-LHC programme enabled by a putative Upgrade II of the dedicated flavour physics experiment LHCb and the evolution of the established flavour physics role of the ATLAS and CMS general purpose experiments. Leveraging the ALICE/L3 cavern for long-lived exotics
/ Gligorov, Vladimir V. (Paris U., VI-VII) ; Knapen, Simon (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley ; Princeton, Inst. Advanced Study) ; Nachman, Benjamin (LBL, Berkeley) ; Papucci, Michele (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley ; CERN) ; Robinson, Dean J. (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Santa Cruz)
Run 5 of the HL-LHC era (and beyond) may provide new opportunities to search for physics beyond the standard model (BSM) at interaction point 2 (IP2). In particular, taking advantage of the existing ALICE detector and infrastructure provides an opportunity to search for displaced decays of beyond standard model long-lived particles (LLPs). [...]

Long-Lived Particles at the Energy Frontier: The MATHUSLA Physics Case
/ Curtin, David (Toronto U.) ; Drewes, Marco (Louvain U., CP3) ; McCullough, Matthew (CERN) ; Meade, Patrick (YITP, Stony Brook) ; Mohapatra, Rabindra N. (Maryland U.) ; Shelton, Jessie (Illinois U., Urbana) ; Shuve, Brian (Harvey Mudd Coll. ; SLAC) ; Accomando, Elena (Southampton U.) ; Alpigiani, Cristiano (Washington U., Seattle) ; Antusch, Stefan (Basel U.) et al.
We examine the theoretical motivations for long-lived particle (LLP) signals at the LHC in a comprehensive survey of Standard Model (SM) extensions. LLPs are a common prediction of a wide range of theories that address unsolved fundamental mysteries such as naturalness, dark matter, baryogenesis and neutrino masses, and represent a natural and generic possibility for physics beyond the SM (BSM).
