Future Circular Collider Feasibility Study Report Volume 2 : Accelerators, technical infrastructure and safety / Benedikt, M. (ed.) (CERN) ; Zimmermann, F. (CERN) ; Auchmann, B. (CERN ; PSI, Villigen) ; Bartmann, W. (CERN) ; Burnet, J.P. (CERN) ; Carli, C. (CERN) ; Chancé, A. (IRFU, Saclay) ; Craievich, P. (PSI, Villigen) ; Giovannozzi, M. (CERN) ; Grojean, C. (DESY ; Humboldt U., Berlin) et al.
In response to the 2020 Update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics, the Future Circular Collider (FCC) Feasibility Study was launched as an international collaboration hosted by CERN. The FCC ‘integrated programme’, described in this report, in a first stage consists of a highest-luminosity electron-positron collider, FCC-ee, serving as Higgs, top and electroweak factory, with a subsequent energy-frontier proton-proton collider, FCC-hh, as the second stage.     The FCC-ee is designed to operate at four baseline centre-of-mass energies, corresponding to the Z pole, the WW pair production threshold, the ZH production peak, and the top/anti-top production threshold, always delivering the highest possible luminosities to four experiments. Measurement of exclusive $J/\psi$ and $\psi(2S)$ production at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV / LHCb Collaboration
Measurements are presented of the cross-section for the central exclusive production of $J/\psi\to\mu^+\mu^-$ and $\psi(2S)\to\mu^+\mu^-$ processes in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13 $ TeV with 2016-2018 data. They are performed by requiring both muons to be in the LHCb acceptance (with pseudorapidity $2<\eta_{\mu^\pm} < 4.5$) and mesons in the rapidity range $2.0 < y < 4.5$. [...]

Exploring hidden sectors with two-particle angular correlations at future $e^{+}e^{-}$ colliders / Musumeci, E. (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Irles, A. (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Perez-Ramos, R. (IPSA, Paris ; Paris, LPTHE) ; Corredoira, I. (Santiago de Compostela U., IGFAE) ; Sarkisyan-Grinbaum, E. (CERN ; Texas U., Arlington) ; Mitsou, V.A. (Valencia U., IFIC ; Natl. Tech. U., Athens) ; Sanchis-Lozano, M.A. (Valencia U., IFIC)
Future $e^+e^-$ colliders are expected to play a fundamental role in measuring Standard Model (SM) parameters with unprecedented precision and in probing physics beyond the SM (BSM). This study investigates two-particle angular correlation distributions involving final-state SM charged hadrons. [...]

The Stringy S-matrix Bootstrap: Maximal Spin and Superpolynomial Softness / Häring, Kelian (CERN ; Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne) ; Zhiboedov, Alexander (CERN)
We explore the space of meromorphic amplitudes with extra constraints coming from the shape of the leading Regge trajectory. This information comes in two guises: it bounds the maximal spin of exchanged particles of a given mass; it leads to sum rules obeyed by the discontinuity of the amplitude, which express the softness of scattering at high energies. [...]

Progress in end-to-end optimization of fundamental physics experimental apparata with differentiable programming / MODE Collaboration
In this article we examine recent developments in the research area concerning the creation of end-to-end models for the complete optimization of measuring instruments. The models we consider rely on differentiable programming methods and on the specification of a software pipeline including all factors impacting performance -- from the data-generating processes to their reconstruction and the extraction of inference on the parameters of interest of a measuring instrument -- along with the careful specification of a utility function well aligned with the end goals of the experiment. The EXTRA-BL4S experiment for the measurement of the energy and angular distributions of transition radiation X-rays / e EXTRA-BL4S Collaboration
We have designed and implemented an experiment to measure the angular distributions and the energy spectra of the transition radiation X-rays emitted by fast electrons and positrons crossing different radiators. Our experiment was selected among the proposals of the 2021 Beamline for Schools contest, a competition for high-school students organized every year by CERN and DESY, and was performed at the DESY II Test Beam facility area TB21, using a high-purity beam of electrons or positrons with momenta in the range from 1 to 6 GeV/c. A study of $C\!P$ violation in the decays $B^\pm\to[K^+K^-\pi^+\pi^-]_D h^{\pm}$ ($h = K, \pi$) and $B^\pm\to[\pi^+\pi^-\pi^+\pi^-]_D h^{\pm}$ / LHCb Collaboration
The first study of $C\!P$ violation in the decay mode $B^\pm\to[K^+K^-\pi^+\pi^-]_D h^{\pm}$, with $h=K,\pi$, is presented, exploiting a data sample of proton-proton collisions collected by the LHCb experiment that corresponds to an integrated luminosity of $9$ fb$^{-1}$. The analysis is performed in bins of phase space, which are optimised for sensitivity to local $C\!P$ asymmetries. [...]

The European Spallation Source neutrino super-beam conceptual design report / Alekou, A. (CERN ; Uppsala U.) ; Baussan, E. (Strasbourg, IPHC) ; Bhattacharyya, A.K. (Strasbourg, IPHC) ; Buchan, O. (ESS, Lund) ; Burgman, A. (Lund U.) et al.
This conceptual design report provides a detailed account of the European Spallation Source neutrino Super Beam (ESS$\nu$SB) feasibility study. This facility has been proposed after the measurements reported in 2012 of a relatively large value of the neutrino mixing angle $\theta_{13}$, which raised the possibility of observing potential CP violation in the leptonic sector with conventional neutrino beams.
