First test results of the HGCAL concentrator ASICs: ECON-T and ECON-D
/ Braga, Davide (Fermilab) ; Cummings, Grace (Fermilab) ; Gingu, Cristinel (Fermilab) ; Hirschauer, James (Fermilab) ; Hoff, James (Fermilab) ; Klabbers, Pamela (Fermilab) ; Kharwadkar, Neha (Fermilab) ; Mantilla-Suarez, Cristina (Fermilab) ; Noonan, Daniel (Fermilab) ; Rubinov, Paul (Fermilab) et al.
With over 6 million channels, the High Granularity Calorimeter for the CMS HL-LHC upgrade presents a unique data transmission challenge. The ECON ASICs provide a critical stage of on-detector data compression and selection for the trigger path (ECON-T) and data acquisition path (ECON-D) of the HGCAL. [...]

Beam Test Performance Studies of CMS Phase-2 Outer Tracker Module Prototypes
/ Tracker Group of the CMS Collaboration
A new tracking detector will be installed as part of the Phase-2 upgrade of the CMS detector for the high-luminosity LHC era. This tracking detector includes the Inner Tracker, equipped with silicon pixel sensor modules, and the Outer Tracker, consisting of modules with two parallel stacked silicon sensors. [...]

Total ionizing dose effects on ring-oscillators and SRAMs in a commercial 28 nm CMOS technology
/ Borghello, G (CERN) ; Bergamin, G (CERN) ; Ceresa, D (CERN) ; Pejašinović, R (CERN) ; Diaz, F P (CERN) ; Kloukinas, K (CERN) ; Pulli, A (CERN) ; Ripamonti, G (CERN) ; Caratelli, A (CERN) ; Andorno, M (CERN)
A test chip with 368 ring-oscillators and 4 different SRAMs has been designed to study the effect of total ionizing dose on a commercial 28 nm CMOS technology. The chip has been exposed to 1 Grad(SiO$_{2}$), followed by a week of annealing at T = 100 °C. [...]

Evaluation of planar silicon pixel sensors with the RD53A readout chip for the Phase-2 Upgrade of the CMS Inner Tracker
/ CMS Collaboration
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN will undergo an upgrade in order to increase its luminosity to $7.5 \times 10^{34}$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$. The increased luminosity during this High-Luminosity running phase\\
(HL-LHC), starting around 2029, means a higher rate of proton-proton interactions, hence a larger ionizing dose and particle fluence for the detectors.
The current tracking system of the CMS experiment will be fully replaced in order to cope with the new operating conditions. [...]

CIC: a radiation tolerant 65 nm data aggregation ASIC for the future CMS tracking detector at LHC
/ Nodari, B (IP2I, Lyon) ; Bergamin, G (CERN) ; Caponetto, L (IP2I, Lyon) ; Caratelli, A (CERN) ; Ceresa, D (CERN) ; Galbit, G (IP2I, Lyon) ; Kloukinas, K (CERN) ; Scarfi’, S (CERN) ; Viret, S (IP2I, Lyon)
For the Phase II upgrade at HL-LHC, CMS needs a new Outer Tracker detector able to cope with reduced material budget, increased radiation tolerance and higher pile-up conditions with respect to LHC. The main feature of the Outer Tracker will be its inclusion at the first level of the CMS trigger system with data readout at 40 MHz. [...]
