Electric and magnetic dipole strength in $^{66}$Zn / Schwengner, R (HZDR, Dresden) ; Massarczyk, R (Los Alamos) ; Scheck, M (Paisley U.) ; Tornow, W (Duke U. ; TUNL, Durham) ; Battaglia, G (Strathclyde U.) ; Beck, T (Darmstadt, Tech. The dipole strength of the nuclide $^{66}$Zn was studied in photon-scattering experiments using bremsstrahlung produced with electron beams of energies of 7.5 and 13.4 MeV at the γELBE facility as well as using quasimonoenergetic and linearly polarized photon beams of 30 energies within the range of 4.3 to 9.9 MeV at the HIγS facility. A total of 128 J=1 states were identified, among them 9 with 1$^+$ and 86 with 1$^−$ assignments. [...]

A projectile Coulomb-excitation experiment was performed at the radioactive-ion beam facility HIE-ISOLDE at CERN to obtain $E2$ and $M1$ transition matrix elements of $^{140}$Nd using the multistep Coulomb-excitation code GOSIA. The absolute $M1$ strengths, $\textrm{B}(M1;2^+_2→2^+_1)=0.033(8)μ^2_N,\textrm{B}(M1;2^+_3→2^+_1)=0.26^{+0.11}_{−0.10}μ^2_N$, and $\textrm{B}(M1;2^+_4→2^+_1)<0.04μ^2_{\textrm{N}}$, identify the $2^+_3$ state as the main fragment of the one-quadrupole-phonon proton-neutron mixed-symmetry state of $^{140}$Nd. Benchmarking the PreSPEC@GSI experiment for Coulex-multipolarimetry on the $\pi (p_{3/2})\rightarrow \pi (p_{1/2})$ spin-flip transition in $^{85}$Br / Napiralla, P (Darmstadt, Tech. Hochsch. ; Darmstadt, GSI) ; Lettmann, M (Darmstadt, Tech. Hochsch.) ; Stahl, C (Darmstadt, Tech. Hochsch.) ; Rainovski, G (Sofiya U.) ; Pietralla, N (Darmstadt, Tech. A first performance test of the Coulomb excitation multipolarimetry (Coulex-multipolarimetry) method is presented. It is based on a $^{85}\hbox {Br}\,\pi p_{3/2}\rightarrow \pi p_{1/2}$ spin-flip experiment performed as part of the PreSPEC-AGATA campaign at the GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung (GSI). Evolution of quadrupole collectivity in N=80 isotones toward the Z=64 subshell gap: The $B(E2;2_{1}^{+} \rightarrow 0_{1}^{+})$ value of $^{142}$Sm / Stegmann, R (Darmstadt, Tech. Hochsch.) ; Bauer, C (Darmstadt, Tech. Hochsch.) ; Rainovski, G (Sofiya U.) ; Pietralla, N (Darmstadt, Tech. Hochsch.) ; Stahl, C (Darmstadt, Tech. Hochsch.) ; Bönig, S (Darmstadt, Tech. Hochsch.) ; Ilieva, S (Darmstadt, Tech. Hochsch.) ; Blazhev, A (Cologne U.) ; Damyanova, A (Sofiya U. ; Geneva U.) ; Danchev, M (Sofiya U.) et al.
It was shown that the evolution of the $B(E2;2_{1}^{+} \rightarrow 0_{1}^{+})$ values in $N$ = 80 isotones from Te to Nd is affected by the underlying subshell structure. This manifests itself in the observation of the local suppression of the $B(E2)$ value at $Z$ = 58 with respect to the neighboring nuclei $^{136}$Ba and $^{140}$Nd. [...]
