Bruno Kessler, Trento ; Fond. Bruno Kessler, Povo ; TIFPA-INFN, Trento) ; Cerci, Salim (Adiyaman U.) ; Chachamis, Grigorios (LIP, Lisbon) ; Contreras, J.G. (Prague, Tech. U.) et al.
The goal of this whitepaper is to give a comprehensive overview of the rich field of forward physics. We discuss the occurrences of BFKL resummation effects in special final states, such as Mueller-Navelet jets, jet gap jets, and heavy quarkonium production. [...]

Z boson production in proton-lead collisions accounting for transverse momenta of initial partons
/ Kutak, Krzysztof (Cracow, INP) ; Blanco, Etienne (Cracow, INP) ; Jung, Hannes (CERN ; DESY) ; Kusina, Aleksander (Cracow, INP) ; van Hameren, Andreas (Cracow, INP)
We report on a recent calculation of inclusive Z boson production in proton-lead collisions at theLHC taking into account the transverse momenta of the initial partons [1]. In the calculation the frameworkof $k_T$-factorization has been used. [...]

Novel tools and observables for jet physics in heavy-ion collisions
/ Andrews, Harry Arthur (Birmingham U.) ; d'Enterria, David (CERN) ; Apolinario, Liliana (CMAF, Lisbon ; Lisbon, IST) ; Bertens, Redmer Alexander (Tennessee U.) ; Bierlich, Christian (Lund U. ; Bohr Inst.) ; Cacciari, Matteo (Diderot U., Paris ; Paris, LPTHE) ; Chen, Yi (CERN) ; Chien, Yang-Ting (MIT, Cambridge, CTP) ; Mendez, Leticia Cunqueiro (Oak Ridge ; Tennessee U.) ; Deak, Michal (Cracow, INP) et al.
Studies of fully-reconstructed jets in heavy-ion collisions aim at extracting thermodynamical and transport properties of hot and dense QCD matter. Recently, a plethora of new jet substructure observables have been theoretically and experimentally developed that provide novel precise insights on the modifications of the parton radiation pattern induced by a QCD medium. Phys.) ; Harangozó, Szilvester Miklós (Wigner RCP, Budapest ; Eotvos U.) et al.
Predictions for cold nuclear matter effects on charged hadrons, identified light hadrons, quarkonium and heavy flavor hadrons, Drell-Yan dileptons, jets, photons, gauge bosons and top quarks produced in $p+$Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{NN}}} = 8.16$ TeV are compiled and, where possible, compared to each other. Predictions of the normalized ratios of $p+$Pb to $p+p$ cross sections are also presented for most of the observables, providing new insights into the expected role of cold nuclear matter effects. Single and double inclusive forward jet production at the LHC at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 and 13 TeV
/ Bury, Marcin (Cracow, INP) ; Deak, Michal (Cracow, INP) ; Kutak, Krzysztof (Cracow, INP) ; Sapeta, Sebastian (Cracow, INP ; CERN)
We provide a description of the transverse momentum spectrum of single inclusive forward jets produced at the LHC, at the center-of-mass energies of 7 and 13 TeV, using the high energy factorization (HEF) framework. We subsequently study double inclusive forward jet production and, in particular, we calculate contributions to azimuthal angle distributions coming from double parton scattering. [...]
