Precision electroweak measurements on the $Z$ resonance / ALEPH Collaboration
We report on the final electroweak measurements performed with data taken at the Z resonance by the experiments operating at the electron-positron colliders SLC and LEP. Measurements of the $b\overline{b}$ production cross section and forward-backward asymmetry at centre-of-mass energies above the Z pole at LEP / L3 Collaboration
The measurements of R/sub b/= sigma (e/sup +/e/sup -/ to bb)/ sigma (e/sup +/e/sup -/ to qq) and of the b quark forward-backward charge asymmetry, A/sub fb//sup b/, at centre-of-mass energies above the Z pole are described. Search for an invisibly decaying Higgs boson in $e^{+} e^{-}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 183-189 GeV / L3 Collaboration
A search for a Higgs boson decaying into invisible particles is performed using the datacollected at LEP by the L3 experiment at centre-of-mass energies of$183\gev{}$ and $189\gev{}$. The integrated luminosities are respectively 55.3~\pb{} and 176.4~\pb{}.The observed candidates are consistent with the expectations from StandardModel processes.In the hypothesis that the production cross section of this Higgs bosonequals the Standard Model one and the branching ratio into invisibleparticles is $100\%$, a lower masslimit of $89.2\gev{}$ is set at $95\%$ confidence level..

Measurement of the Photon Structure Function at High $Q^{2}$ at LEP / L3 Collaboration
The structure functions of real and virtual photons are derivedfrom cross section measurements of the reaction$\rm e^+e^-\rightarrow e^+e^- + \hbox{hadrons}$ at LEP.The reaction is studied at $\sqrt{\rm {s}} \simeq 91$ GeV with the L3detector. One of the final state electrons is detected at a large angle relative to the beam direction, leading to $Q^2$ values between40 GeV$^2$ and 500 GeV$^2$.The other final state electron is either undetected or it is detected ata four-momentum transfer squared $P^2$ between 1 GeV$^2$ and 8 GeV$^2$.These measurements are compared with predictions of the Quark PartonModel and other QCD based models..

Measurement of the Lifetime of the $\tau$ Lepton / L3 Collaboration
The tau lepton lifetime is measured with the L3 detector at LEP using the complete data taken at centre-of-mass energies around the Z pole resulting in tau_tau = 293.2 +/- 2.0 (stat) +/- 1.5 (syst) fs. The comparison of this result with the muon lifetime supports lepton universality of the weak charged current at the level of six per mille. [...]

We report on measurements of the inclusive production rate of $\Sigma^+$ and $\Sigma^0$ baryons in hadronic Z decays collected with the L3 detector at LEP. Measurements of Cross Sections and Forward-Backward Asymmetries at the Z Resonance and Determination of Electroweak Parameters / L3 collaboration
We report on measurements of hadronic and leptonic cross sections and leptonic forward-backward asymmetries performed with the L3 detector in the years $1993-95$.A total luminosity of 103 pb$^{-1}$ was collected at centre-of-mass energies $\sqrt{s} \approx m_\mathrm{Z}$ and $\sqrt{s} \approx m_\mathrm{Z} \pm 1.8$ GeVwhich corresponds to 2.5 million hadronic and 245 thousand leptonic events selected.These data lead to a significantly improved determination of Z parameters.From the total cross sections, combined with our measurements in $1990-92$,we obtain the final results:%%%\begin{eqnarr ay*} m_\mathrm{Z} = 91189.8 \pm 3.1\ \mathrm{MeV} \, , & & \Gamma_\mathrm{Z} = 2502.4 \pm 4.2\ \mathrm{MeV} \, , \\ \Gamma_\mathrm{had} = 1741.1 \pm 3.8\ \mathrm{MeV} \, , & & \Gamma_\ell = 84.14 \pm 0.17\ \mathrm{MeV} \,. \label{eq:Zpara_abstract}\end{eqnarray*}%%%An invisible width of $\Gamma_\mathrm{inv} = 499.1 \pm 2.9$ MeV is derived which in the Standard Model yields for the numberof light neutrino species $N_\nu = 2.978 \pm 0.014$.Adding our results on the leptonic forward-backward asymmetries and thetau polarisation, the effective vector and axial-vector coupling constants of the neutral weak current to charged leptons are determined to be $\bar{g}_{\mathrm{V}}^\ell = -0.0397\pm 0.0017$ and $\bar{g}_{\mathrm{A}}^\ell = -0.50153 \pm 0.00053$.Including our measurements of the Z $\rightarrow \mathrm{b}\bar{\mathrm{b}}$ forward-backward and quark charge asymmetries a value for the effective electroweakmixing angle of $\sin^2\!\overline{\theta}_{\mathrm{W}} = 0.23093 \pm 0.00066$ is derived. Search for Charginos with a Small Mass Difference to the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle at $\sqrt{s} = 189 GeV$ / L3 collaboration
A search for charginos nearly mass-degenerate with the lightestsupersymmetric particle isperformed using the 176 {pb$^{-1}$ of data collected at 189 {Ge\kern -0.1em V} in 1998 with the L3detector. Mass differences between the chargino and the lightest supersymmetric particlebelow 4 {Ge\kern -0.1em V} are considered.The presence of a high transverse momentum photon is required to single out the signal from the photon-photon interaction background.
