Elliptic flow measurement of resonances in Pb–Pb collisions at sNN=5.36TeV with ALICE / Gami, Sarjeeta (NISER, Jatni) /ALICE Collaboration
The elliptic flow (v2) coefficients of K∗0 and ϕ resonances are measured in PbPb collisions at sNN = 5.36 TeV. The v2 measurements are performed using the scalar product method at midrapidity (|y|< 0.5) as a function of transverse momentum (pT) for mid-central collisions, based on the latest Run 3 data collected by ALICE. New RPC gas mixtures for sustainable operation in the CMS experiment / CMS Muon Collaboration
The current operation of the Resistive Plate Chamber (RPC) system within the CMS experiment involves approximately 95% tetrafluoroethane (C2H2F4, TFE). However, in response to climate change concerns, the European Union has instituted a ban on TFE owing to its elevated Global Warming Potential, resulting in an associated increase in market prices. Speckle induced by reflections in pipe propagation of a structured laser beams / Niewiem, W (CERN ; Zurich, ETH) ; Figura, Sebastian (CERN ; AGH-UST, Cracow) ; Mergelkhul, Dirk (CERN) ; Gayde, Jean-Christophe (CERN) ; Sulc, Miroslav (Prague, Inst. Phys. ; Liberec Tech. U.) ; Wieser, Andreas (Zurich, ETH)
This study explores how reflections affect the transverse intensity profile of a structured laser beam (SLB) in alignment systems. The research evaluates the impact of pipe material and geometry on noise affecting the inner core (IC) of the SLB’s transverse intensity profile. [...]

A method for measuring energy gain with variable plasma length at AWAKE / Pannell, F (Imperial Coll., London) ; Cooke, D A (Imperial Coll., London) ; van Gils, N Z (CERN) ; Gschwendtner, E (CERN) ; Turner, M (CERN) ; Bergamaschi, M (CERN ; Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Ranc, L (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Muggli, P (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Wing, M (Imperial Coll., London)
The AWAKE experiment investigates the acceleration of externally injected electrons into the wakefields driven by a self-modulated proton bunch. In Run 1, AWAKE successfully demonstrated proton bunch self-modulation and accelerated electrons from 19 MeV to 2 GeV. [...]

IO information-based component relevance estimation in a mixed-signal ASIC analog circuit / Weick, Julian (Darmstadt, Tech. U. ; CERN) ; Zoubir, A M (Darmstadt, Tech. U.) ; Riedler, P (CERN) ; Berlea, D V (DESY) ; Tortajada, I Asensi (CERN) ; Dobrijevic, D (Zagreb U.) ; Suligoj, Tomislav (Zagreb U.) ; Fasselt, L (DESY) ; Pernegger, H (CERN) ; Snoeys, W (CERN) et al.
With increasing demand for active sensor surface and compact modularization, monolithic active pixel sensors are gaining track in high-energy physics experiments. The analog circuits in these mixed-signal ASICs are often black boxes where the components’ function and the circuitry’s behavior can only be evaluated through simulation or educated guesses. [...]

Investigating Lead Ion Beam Loss Mechanisms at the Super Proton Synchrotron Flat Bottom / Waagaard, E (EPFL-ISIC, Lausanne ; CERN) ; Bartosik, H (CERN) ; Paraschou, K (CERN) ; Soubelet, F (CERN)
The long injection segment (flat bottom, FB) of the cycle in the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) used for filling the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) with Pb ion beams exhibits strong beam losses and transverse normalized emittance $\varepsilon_{x,y}^{n}$ growth. During the 2024 run, significant beam transmission improvements enabled record intensities delivered to the LHC, mainly leveraged by operational measures such as working point optimization and compensation scheme for the 50 Hz ripple from the main quadrupole power converters. Optimising Multi-turn extraction at CERN using transverse feedback / Naumenko, O (CERN) ; Giovannozzi, M (CERN) ; Hillert, W (Hamburg U.) ; Huschauer, A (CERN)
Initial experimental investigations of transverse beam splitting, carried out at the CERN Proton Synchrotron, have demonstrated that transverse feedback is highly effective in controlling the characteristics of the split beam. The feedback notably improves the intensity distribution among the beamlets and the emittance of the core, which is the portion of the beam that remains near its centre after the resonance-crossing process.
