Broadband Multi-wavelength Properties of M87 during the 2018 EHT Campaign including a Very High Energy Flaring Episode / Event Horizon Telescope Multi-wavelength Science Collaboration
The nearby elliptical galaxy M87 contains one of the only two supermassive black holes whose emission surrounding the event horizon has been imaged by the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT). In 2018, more than two dozen multi-wavelength (MWL) facilities (from radio to gamma-ray energies) took part in the second M87 EHT campaign. [...]

Search for Ultraheavy Dark Matter from Observations of Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxies with VERITAS / VERITAS Collaboration
Dark matter is a key piece of the current cosmological scenario, with weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) a leading dark matter candidate. WIMPs have not been detected in their conventional parameter space (100 GeV $\lesssim M_{\chi} \lesssim$ 100 TeV), a mass range accessible with current Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes. [...]

Gamma-ray Observations Under Bright Moonlight with VERITAS / Archambault, S. (McGill U.) ; Archer, A. (Washington U., St. Louis) ; Benbow, W. (Whipple Observ.) ; Bird, R. (UCLA) ; Bourbeau, E. (McGill U.) ; Bouvier, A. (UC, Santa Cruz) ; Buchovecky, M. (UCLA) ; Bugaev, V. (Washington U., St. Louis) ; Cardenzana, J. V (Iowa State U.) ; Cerruti, M. (Whipple Observ.) et al.
Imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes (IACTs) are equipped with sensitive photomultiplier tube (PMT) cameras. Exposure to high levels of background illumination degrades the efficiency of and potentially destroys these photo-detectors over time, so IACTs cannot be operated in the same configuration in the presence of bright moonlight as under dark skies.
