In response to the 2020 Update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics, the Future Circular Collider (FCC) Feasibility Study was launched as an international collaboration hosted by CERN. The FCC ‘integrated programme’, described in this report, in a first stage consists of a highest-luminosity electron-positron collider, FCC-ee, serving as Higgs, top and electroweak factory, with a subsequent energy-frontier proton-proton collider, FCC-hh, as the second stage.     The FCC-ee is designed to operate at four baseline centre-of-mass energies, corresponding to the Z pole, the WW pair production threshold, the ZH production peak, and the top/anti-top production threshold, always delivering the highest possible luminosities to four experiments. Volume 3 of the FCC Feasibility Report presents studies related to civil engineering, the development of a project implementation scenario, and environmental and sustainability aspects. The report details the iterative improvements made to the civil engineering concepts since 2018, taking into account subsurface conditions, accelerator and experiment requirements, and territorial considerations. Volume 1 of the FCC Feasibility Report presents an overview of the physics case, experimental programme, and detector concepts for the Future Circular Collider (FCC). This volume outlines how the FCC would address some of the most profound open questions in particle physics, from precision studies of the Higgs and EW bosons and of the top quark, to the exploration of physics beyond the Standard Model. A Linear Collider Vision for the Future of Particle Physics / Linear Collider Vision Collaboration
In this paper we review the physics opportunities at linear $e^+e^-$ colliders with a special focus on high centre-of-mass energies and beam polarisation, take a fresh look at the various accelerator technologies available or under development and, for the first time, discuss how a facility first equipped with a technology mature today could be upgraded with technologies of tomorrow to reach much higher energies and/or luminosities. FCC-ee positron source from conventional to crystal-based / Alharthi, Fahad (KACST, Riyadh ; IJCLab, Orsay) ; Chaikovska, Iryna (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Chehab, Robert (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Mytrochenko, Viktor (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Wang, Yuting (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Zhao, Yongke (CERN) ; Bandiera, Laura (INFN, Ferrara) ; Canale, Nicola (INFN, Ferrara) ; Guidi, Vincenzo (INFN, Ferrara ; Ferrara U.) ; Malagutti, Lorenzo (INFN, Ferrara) et al.
The high-luminosity requirement in future lepton colliders imposes a need for a high-intensity positron source. In the conventional scheme, positron beams are obtained by the conversion of bremsstrahlung photons into electron-positron pairs through the interaction between a high-energy electron beam and a high-Z amorphous target. [...]

Conical Targets for Enhanced High-Current Positron Sources / Vallis, Nicolas (Minnesota U., Math. ; Northeastern U. ; PSI, Villigen ; CERN ; LPHE, Lausanne) ; Mena-Andrade, Ramiro (CERN) ; Humann, Barbara (CERN) ; Zhao, Yongke (CERN) ; Craievich, Paolo (Minnesota U., Math. ; Northeastern U. ; PSI, Villigen) ; Grenard, Jean-Louis (CERN) ; Latina, Andrea (CERN) ; Lechner, Anton (CERN) ; Perillo-Marcone, Antonio (CERN) ; Zennaro, Riccardo (Minnesota U., Math. ; Northeastern U. ; PSI, Villigen) et al.
Previous pair-production-driven positron source designs have assumed that the transverse dimension of the target is significantly greater than the secondary beam it generates. This paper explores the use of targets with different transverse profiles with the aim of enhancing positron production. [...]

Benchmarking the FCC-ee positron source simulation tools using the SuperKEKB results / Alharthi, F (IJCLab, Orsay ; KACST, Riyadh) ; Chaikovska, I (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Chehab, R (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Zhao, Y (CERN) ; Latina, A (CERN) ; Enomoto, Y (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Miyahara, F (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Mytrochenko, V (Kharkov, KIPT)
For the Future Circular Collider (FCC-ee), particular attention is drowned to the crucial role of the positron source. Two positron production schemes are considered for the FCC-ee: conventional and crystal-based (hybrid), implying the use of channeling radiation in the oriented crystals. [...]

The studies and R&D; on the high-intensity positron source for the FCC-ee have been initiated for a while. The positrons are produced by a 6 GeV electron drive-beam incident on a target-converter at 200 Hz. [...]
