Linear Imperfections / Ziemann, V (Uppsala U.)
After a review of linear imperfections and their causes, we discuss how to model them, the diagnostic equipment needed to monitor them, and the correction algorithms to fix the problem they cause. [...]

Linear Imperfections - corrections / Ziemann, Volker (speaker)
We introduce the BPM-corrector response coefficient R12 as the key quantity to characterise the effect of imperfections on the beam dynamics before addressing how the effect of multiple imperfections are combined. We then introduce local beam bumps as a means to adjust the beam position locally and move on to discuss orbit correction and the orbit response matrix. We place special attention to different methods, including singular value decomposition, to invert the response matrix. [...]

Linear Imperfections II / Ziemann, Volker (speaker)
After briefly discussing sources of imperfections, we characterize them in terms of dipole, quadrupolar, and skew quadrupolar errors and move on to discuss how these imperfections are modeled in beam dynamics codes. We continue by reviewing the concepts of dispersion and chromaticity and explain how they are measured before turning to imperfections that are caused by multipoles, in particular, by feed-down. We conclude by addressing errors that are introduced by imperfect diagnostic equipment such as misaligned position monitors and mention means of how to identify this problem..

A Method for Determining the Roll Angle of the CLIC Accelerating Structures From the Beam Shape Downstream of the Structure / Ögren, Jim (Uppsala U.) ; Farabolini, Wilfrid (IRFU, Saclay ; CERN) ; Ziemann, Volker (Uppsala U.)
The Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) accelerating structures have a four-fold symmetry from the radial waveguides for damping higher order modes. This symmetry allows for an octupole component of the rf fields to co-propagate with the main accelerating field. [...]

Beam-Based Alignment Studies at CTF3 Using the Octupole Component of CLIC Accelerating Structures / Ögren, Jim (Uppsala U. (main)) ; Bhattacharyya, Anirban (Uppsala U. The Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) uses normal-conducting accelerating structures that are sensitive to wakefield effects and therefore their alignment is extremely important. Due to the four-fold symmetry of the structures, they allow for an octupole component of the rf fields. [...]

Spectrometers for RF breakdown studies for CLIC / Jacewicz, M (Uppsala U.) ; Ziemann, V (Uppsala U.) ; Ekelöf, T (Uppsala U.) ; Dubrovskiy, A (CERN) ; Ruber, R (Uppsala U.)
An e + e − collider of several TeV energy will be needed for the precision studies of any new physics discovered at the LHC collider at CERN. One promising candidate is CLIC, a linear collider which is based on a two-beam acceleration scheme that efficiently solves the problem of power distribution to the acceleration structures. [...]
