Flavoured jet algorithms : a comparative study / Behring, Arnd (Garching, Max Planck Inst.) ; Caletti, Simone (Zurich, ETH) ; Giuli, Francesco (Rome U., Tor Vergata ; INFN, Rome) ; Grabarczyk, Radoslaw (Oxford U. ; Oxford U., Theor. The accurate identification of heavy-flavour jets, those which originate from bottom or charm quarks, is crucial for precision studies of the Standard Model and searches for new physics. However, assigning flavour to jets presents significant challenges, primarily due to issues with infrared and collinear (IRC) safety. [...]

Future Circular Collider Feasibility Study Report Volume 2 : Accelerators, technical infrastructure and safety / Benedikt, M. (ed.) (CERN) ; Zimmermann, F. (CERN) ; Auchmann, B. In response to the 2020 Update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics, the Future Circular Collider (FCC) Feasibility Study was launched as an international collaboration hosted by CERN. The FCC ‘integrated programme’, described in this report, in a first stage consists of a highest-luminosity electron-positron collider, FCC-ee, serving as Higgs, top and electroweak factory, with a subsequent energy-frontier proton-proton collider, FCC-hh, as the second stage.     The FCC-ee is designed to operate at four baseline centre-of-mass energies, corresponding to the Z pole, the WW pair production threshold, the ZH production peak, and the top/anti-top production threshold, always delivering the highest possible luminosities to four experiments. Volume 3 of the FCC Feasibility Report presents studies related to civil engineering, the development of a project implementation scenario, and environmental and sustainability aspects. The report details the iterative improvements made to the civil engineering concepts since 2018, taking into account subsurface conditions, accelerator and experiment requirements, and territorial considerations. Volume 1 of the FCC Feasibility Report presents an overview of the physics case, experimental programme, and detector concepts for the Future Circular Collider (FCC). This volume outlines how the FCC would address some of the most profound open questions in particle physics, from precision studies of the Higgs and EW bosons and of the top quark, to the exploration of physics beyond the Standard Model. A collinear shower algorithm for NSL non-singlet fragmentation / van Beekveld, Melissa (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Dasgupta, Mrinal (Manchester U.) ; El-Menoufi, Basem Kamal (Monash U.) ; Helliwell, Jack (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Monni, Pier Francesco (CERN) ; Salam, Gavin P. (Oxford U., Theor. Phys. ; U. Oxford (main))
We formulate a collinear partonic shower algorithm that achieves next-to-single-logarithmic (NSL, $\alpha_s^n L^{n-1}$) accuracy for collinear-sensitive non-singlet fragmentation observables. This entails the development of an algorithm for nesting triple-collinear splitting functions. [...]

We report on a major milestone in the construction of logarithmically accurate final-state parton showers, achieving next-to-next-to-leading-logarithmic (NNLL) accuracy for the wide class of observables known as event shapes. The key to this advance lies in the identification of the relation between critical NNLL analytic resummation ingredients and their parton-shower counterparts. [...]

Parton Showering with Higher Logarithmic Accuracy for Soft Emissions / Ferrario Ravasio, Silvia (CERN) ; Hamilton, Keith (University Coll. London) ; Karlberg, Alexander (CERN) ; Salam, Gavin P. (Oxford U., Theor. Phys. ; Oxford U.) ; Scyboz, Ludovic (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Soyez, Gregory (CERN ; IPhT, Saclay)
The accuracy of parton-shower simulations is often a limiting factor in the interpretation of data from high-energy colliders. We present the first formulation of parton showers with accuracy one order beyond state-of-the-art next-to-leading logarithms, for classes of observable that are dominantly sensitive to low-energy (soft) emissions, specifically non-global observables and subjet multiplicities.
