The Big Bang Nucleosynthesis (BBN) theory has been very successful in predicting the observed abundances of light elements like $^2$H, ${3,4}$He. There is, however, a serious discrepancy of a factor of about four in the observed abundance of $^7$Li as compared to that predicted by the BBN theory [1−2]. [...]

Study of elastic and inelastic scattering of $^7$Be + $^{12}$C at 35 MeV
/ Kundalia, K. (Bose Inst., Kolkata) ; Gupta, D. (Bose Inst., Kolkata) ; Ali, Sk M. (Bose Inst., Kolkata) ; Saha, Swapan K. (Bose Inst., Kolkata) ; Tengblad, O. (Madrid, Inst. The elastic and inelastic scattering of $^7$Be from $^{12}$C have been measured at an incident energy of 35 MeV. The inelastic scattering leading to the 4.439 MeV excited state of 12C has been measured for the first time. [...]

Resonance Excitations in $^7$Be(d,p)$^8$Be$^\ast$ to Address the Cosmological Lithium Problem

The anomaly in lithium abundance is a well-known unresolved problem in nuclear astrophysics. A recent revisit to the problem tried the avenue of resonance enhancement to account for the primordial $^7$Li abundance in standard big-bang nucleosynthesis (BBN). [...]

Beta decay is a primary source of information of the structure of a nucleus. An accurate measurement of the half-life of a nucleus is essential for the proper determination of the reduced Gammow–Teller transition probability $B$(GT) [...]

Estructura Materia) ; Nacher, E (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Benito, J (UCM, Madrid, Dept. Phys.) ; Figuera, P (INFN, Catania) ; Fraile, L M (UCM, Madrid, Dept. The main goal of this work is to study the structure of the highest energy states in $^8$Be populated following the $\beta^+$-decay and the electron capture (EC) of $^8$B. With this aim, two experiments were performed at ISOLDE-CERN in 2017 and 2018. [...]

Study of the scattering of $^{15}$C at energies around the Coulomb barrier

The neutron rich carbon isotope $^{15}$C is the only known case of an almost "pure" 2s$_{1/2}$ single-neutron halo ground state configuration. At collision energies around the Coulomb barrier the reaction dynamics is expected to be dominated by single neutron transfer and breakup [...]

Probing proton halo effects in the $^8$B+$^{64}$Zn collision around the Coulomb barrier
/ Spartà, R (Catania U. ; INFN, Catania) ; Di Pietro, A (INFN, Catania) ; Figuera, P (INFN, Catania) ; Tengblad, O (CSIC, Madrid) ; Moro, A M (Seville U.) ; Martel, I (Huelva U.) ; Fernández-García, J P (Seville U.) ; Lei, Jin (INFN, Pisa) ; Acosta, L (Mexico U. ; INFN, Catania) ; Borge, M J (CSIC, Madrid) et al.
Proton halo effects in the 8B+64Zn reaction at an energy around 1.5 times the Coulomb barrier have been studied at HIE-ISOLDE CERN using, for the first time, the only existing postaccelerated 8B beam. This, together with the use of a high granularity and large solid angle detection system, allowed for a careful mapping of the elastic angular distribution, especially in the Coulomb-nuclear interference region.
