In order to test CPT symmetry between antihydrogen and its counterpart hydrogen, the ASACUSA collaboration plans to perform high precision microwave spectroscopy of ground-state hyperfine splitting of antihydrogen atom in-flight. We have developed an apparatus (“cusp trap”) which consists of a superconducting anti-Helmholtz coil and multiple ring electrodes. [...]

The ASACUSA collaboration has developed a cusp trap scheme to realize an in-flight high precision microwave spectroscopy of ground-state hyperfine splitting of antihydrogen ( H̄) for a stringent test of CPT symmetry. Cold H̄ atoms were successfullysynthesized by employing a cusp trap which consisted of a superconducting anti-Helmholtz coil and a stack of ring electrodes. [...]

An ultra low-noise AC beam transformer and digital signal processing system for CERN's ELENA ring
/ Angoletta, M E (CERN) ; Carli, C (CERN) ; Caspers, F (CERN) ; Federmann, S (CERN) ; Molendijk, J (CERN) ; Pedersen, F (CERN) ; Sanchez-Quesada, J (CERN)
CERN’s Extra Low ENergy Antiproton (ELENA) ring is a new synchrotron that will be commissioned in 2016 to further decelerate the antiprotons coming from CERN’s Antiproton Decelerator (AD). Essential longitudinal diagnostics required for commissioning and operation include the intensity measurement for bunched and debunched beams and the measurement of p/p for debunched beams to assess the electron cooling performance. AD status and consolidation plans
/ Eriksson, T (CERN) ; Angoletta, M E (CERN) ; Arnaudon, L (CERN) ; Belochitskii, P (CERN) ; Bojtar, L (CERN) ; Calviani, M (CERN) ; Caspers, F (CERN) ; Federmann, S (CERN) ; Jørgensen, L (CERN) ; Louwerse, R (CERN) et al.
The CERN Antiproton Decelerator (AD) has now completed its 12th year of supplying low-energy antiproton beams for the successful physics program. Most of the machine’s key components are in operation since more than 25 years and prompted by the approval of the ELENA project, a substantial consolidation program is now being launched to ensure continued reliable operation.
