Measurement of the $B^0_\mathrm{s}\to J/\psi K^0_\mathrm{S}$ effective lifetime from proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV / CMS Collaboration
The effective lifetime of the $ \mathrm{B}_{s}^{0} $ meson in the decay $ \mathrm{B}_{s}^{0} \to \mathrm{J}/\psi\mathrm{K^0_S} $ is measured using data collected during 2016-2018 with the CMS detector in $ \sqrt{s}= $ 13 TeV proton-proton collisions at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb$ ^{-1} $. The effective lifetime is determined by performing a two-dimensional unbinned maximum likelihood fit to the $ \mathrm{B}_{s}^{0} $ meson invariant mass and proper decay time distributions. [...]

A search is reported for charge-parity CP violation in $ \mathrm{D^0}\to\mathrm{K^0_S}\mathrm{K^0_S} $ decays, using data collected in proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV recorded by the CMS experiment in 2018. The analysis uses a dedicated data set that corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 41.6 fb$ ^{-1} $, which consists of about 10 billion events containing a pair of b hadrons, nearly all of which decay to charm hadrons.
